Hi HKMP7,
That is very nice and the gold heat shield remind me of the old McLaren F1 engine bay heat shield :D
By the way, you mention above that this is the Ver.2, What is the differences between Ver.2 and Ver.1?
Thanks
Ha yeah I think it looks awesome.
Here are the differences.
Ver 1 on left Ver 2 on right.
Version 1 is what the cylinder head looks like underneath. Version 2 is like a mix of the cylinder head and the stock cover.

More Ti diet

Melotti Racing "HKMP7" triple clamp

After seeing @BMW Alpina triple I thought it was awesome so I decided to switch mine out. I did a couple different options first the "HKMP7". Second the 1/1 because my mom told me I'm special. Third I had them forgo the clipon alignment markings because I plan to keep the factory bars. The machining is really nice so is the finish and its very light. The guys over at Melotti Racing were kind enough to extend a 20% off coupon for my biker friends. So if you are looking to get any of their products shot me a pm I'm the plug.

Compared to the stock triple and Ducabike
49949340227_81ab107d5d_c.jpg

Weight info
Stock with stem nut stock bolts 524g
Ducabike with Db stem nut ti bolts 806g
Melotti with Cnc stem nut ti bolts 475g

Melotti Vs Ducabike
Looks wise I think these are very similar. Finish on both is excellent the only huge difference is the weight.

Good morning HKMP7,
Thanks for the weight comparison, it's an eye opening weight differences...
Also, Did you paint the CNC Racing Titanium Stem Nut your self?
and is the lettering on the nut finished in white color (paint) or is it the original titanium color (masked when the rest painted black)?
that is very nice :D

The CNC nut is the black aluminum version.

Enjoying your thread very much!
How is the quality on the podium racing Ti?
And Do you prefer their silver or black line?

Thanks for the kind words.
I like their stuff I think the quality is pretty good. I’m not using them in high stress areas so I think they should be fine. Ive only got the black bolts because it matches my theme. I think the dimpled bolts look so cool.

Im going to order front and rear brake disc bolts
Perforated for safety wire
Their price is not bad

Ti Diet
Replaced more of the stock bolts. In this installment I changed the front rotor bolts with NK Componets drilled bolts. I like that these are a hex head and torx.
Here are specs.
Stock bolt x 10 91g
NK Ti bolt x 10 50g
Save a bit of weight but most important these look a lot better and will stay that way.

It adds up doesn't it. Nearly half a kilogram and that's unsprung weight so even better. Can you feel any difference in steering?

Earlier today, while working (at my job), I took a quick glance at your post, and I like the double Torx and Hex, but I wasn't able to really pay close attention.
Now, at home, relaxing, I look at your post again, and you post "HOLLOW"... I was like, is it really "HOLLOW" turn out IT IS REALLY HOLLOW !!!
Wow, that is very very nice !!! :D

After the the triple clamp and this I can feel the weight difference. The bolts were mostly for the looks and corrosion resistance that titanium offers.

Ha Ha yeah its pretty trick.

DP Carbon chain guard

This part is trick adds some protection while adding style. My bike is a 19" which is missing the 2nd hole in the bottom of the swingarm but this part still fits perfect. Its installed under the chain guide.

A very cool piece. And the Ducati bolt cheese never ceases to amaze me.

Any idea why all the Ti bolts are always torx instead of the metric allen? Seems the metric allen are much more universal and easier to work with versus having to buy all new torx bits.

Yeah it’s crazy.
Almost all of the Proti is torx. If you want Allen key you can get probolt fasteners.
The torx are less common so it may deter some crooks at bike events.
P.S. Also gives me a excuse to buy more tools.

Ha ha glad you find it enter and hopefully informative.
Here’s the link to their site.

Also check Webike, another Japanese seller who do Aella, at the moment cheaper than Aella. Currently having a bit of a sale (5% off the engine sliders) and you get another 5% off if you register your email for their newsletter.

Motocorse Engine bracket

We were talking about this in @BMW Alpina thread. @Keith197
This is just for looks it does add a bit of weight specs below. Added the TI bolts to offset some of the weight difference.

Stock bracket 213g
Stock bolts 37g

Motocore bracket 259g
TI bolts 23g

So it added 32g  but looks amazing :p
