This morning I saw a drop next to the kickstand.
Another drop spotted under the left case, couldn't see the origin.

Bike is a MY17 with 1600km / 1k miles. Breakin made by the book. Had its first service 200miles ago.
Weather is super HOT here since day 1 so I dont think its from the boiling liquid.

Any insights?
All the coolant threads refer to the right side of the bike if im not wrong.

P.s. left exhaust has a rust lookalike mark (cleaned it) , dealer said its from the chain fluid catcher just over the exhaust... Maybe its coolant?

It's coolant. Stock/OEM coolant has a red colour. It is not oil. The muck on your exhaust is probably leaked coolant in the airflow streaming backwards and drying out on contact. Remove both left hand fairings and check for leaks from both upper and lower radiator hoses where they connect to your water distributor (black plastic assembly). Also check for cracks in the distributor itself and where it bolts to the crankcase. Lastly check the infamous weep hole. If fluid is leeking from there it is usually a sign of a water pump seal failure. Do a search n the forum for coolant leaks...plenty of info on here dealing with this issue. It's not uncommon but is fixable.

I used to have a little coolant leak from the drain (lower radiator, left side of the bike).. in my case it was green... I fixed it by centering the crush copper washer, it was off center.. but yours seems to be coming from somewhere else. Maybe they put too much and it's coming from the overflow hose? Or they didn't tight the container cap or the radiator cap? How's the bike's temperature?

Also, coolant has a very particular smell..double check it's coolant to make 100% sure

Got home and found another spot
I think it might not be from the hole but from the tube?!
What you guys think?

Regarding the "rust" stains on the Lh exhaust, it seems from the black chain lube collector

Yep thermostat housing when replacing change all clamps to worm type.

The dripping on the exhaust is most likely from the chain. Mine did that to, much when new. I lube the chain sparingly now and don't have any issues.

Wow this is happening to 17 models as well. I guess there is no intention of fixing this common issue. 4 model years this issue persists....

There is no money in making vehicles that don't break down. Its the bread and butter of the auto industry/consumerism.

13K miles. Not a hint of a leak anywhere. It really depends who was running the glue machine that day. Built correctly, the motors are excellent. A slight attention deficit during assembly, you're going to be on a first name basis with your repair tech and your warranty rep.

Agreed. I have 63k on my 899, never had this issue. My bf's '16 1299S had this same issue. They had to split the cases and replace the thermostat housing. Unreal.

I have replaced the thermostat housing myself you don't split the cases.

It might not be that complicated. I had a leak from the same spot. Replacing the hoses and clamps took care of it.

Yes was about to recommend that to you. I've noticed a few worm gear hose clamps were loose on my bike. If you can get a couple turns out of a worm gear clamp it's too loose. Glad you found the culprit.

Mother $#@^%$&^%

leak is back !
I thought it was from the small tube clamp getting into the engine case, dealer said the "big" hose clamp above it (lower tube connected to the squirter unit) dripped on it and they tightened it.

Just found out it leaks again, the leak comes from a higher point!
I see red fluid from the Upper right (inner) tube from the squirter unit and on the squirter unit where the two plastic pieces are bolted, dont know if it leaks from there or if its coolant from the Upper Right tube..

whats going on with the picture uploads ?! help...

To do the job properly you need to replace squirter unit if leaking. And replace all clamps to worm gear.

I doubt the dealer did what they said the did due to all clamps associated with the squirter unit being the click together shitting ones.

yup, I see some coolant residue on the top hose going to the squirter on my R. glad it is so simple as tiny seepage past the hose fitting to the barb. Seems it has all stopped since I got past 1200 miles on the Odo. seepage not exclusive to the R, when My MV F4 was new it also had some seepage from a clic-r hose up to the radiator when it was new. thousands of miles later the little seepage stopped all on its own and hasn't seeped since. My 4 wheel truck had an outright radiator leak lately and needed a whole new radiator at the tune of $800 so knock on wood, water cooled can be a double edged sword.
