How far on full tank of gas.

I get about 100 miles per tank before the light comes on. I run it in sport mode 99% of the time.

With moderate to heavy throttle in Sport/Lo195, I'll go ~ 100 - 110 miles before the 'pump' icon lights up. (It will do this a few times and the count-up odometer will keep resetting to zero.) I've gone up to 135 miles before refueling and, even then, still had maybe a few tenths of a gallon left in the tank ... :p

160klm to the light just about every time.
Moderate riding.

140 if I'm running with the bulls.
Remarkably consistent .

Hi all,
I've done 5000km which is about 3500mi I think.
95% of those Kms have been riding out in the countryside in Australia.
Commuting, around town I get about 100km on a tank I kid you not.
Out riding a mixture of cruising and hard acceleration I get between 180-220km before the light comes on.

The trick is just to avoid accelerating in first gear and you're laughing.

you guys are on the imperial gallon(4.56 liters?)? So it's larger than US gallon, or has that changed?

Yeah, something like that. You can change the measurement on the site.

Normally 150km to light on my back yard 'GP' loop but I made 200km recently on a cross country cruise !

When I bought the bike in Canberra and headed home to Townsville I was getting 17km/litre. My reserve light came on at 229km and I ran out of fuel 49km later at 278km.
Termi slips fitted and ECU update loaded.

When I refuelled it on the side stand I got less than 16 litres into the empty tank. I picked the bike up straight and filled it right to the top and put another 1.5 litres in. I have filled it this way ever since with no problems. (Australian bikes do not have canisters)

I enter all fuel usage and KMS into a spreadsheet to see price fluctuations and usage rate.

I get 15km/litre around town and up to 20km/litre on trips.

The average consumption over time has been 18km/litre or 50mpg (UK)
= 5.58 litres/100km.

I aim to refuel on trips after 250kms and before 290kms.

I recently updated the ECU but have insufficient data to determine the effect on fuel consumption.

WOW!!!!! I would never have believed it could go that far, but then my bike has never seen a straight road longer than 2km.

On mountain swisties, with lots of WOT and quick-shifter action, I see 110km before the reserve icon stays on by 120km.

I get about 100-120 miles before I start looking for a gas station. computer says 33mpg but that sounds optimistic.

As we know the speedometers are between 5/8% optimistic so I would guess the Computer Ave Mpg would be off by a similar margin...

Long motorway stints, (120-150kph) - around 200km before really needing to fuel.

Aggressive riding - 160-180km

This was an average over a weeks riding on Sardinia - my friend and I would reset our trip's every time we fuelled up. On his 899 he got around an extra 10-15km before his fuel light would come on.

I get about approx 95 miles on a full tank of SHELL premium before the fuel warning light kicks in.

Wow, these are very poor numbers. I guess I am the most conservative rider here. Commuting, I get over 160 miles per tank before I refuel and when I do it fills to no more than 4 gallons, telling me that I still have some distance left. The aggregated MPGs mostly freeway is no less than 42mpg. I'm near 11K miles on the Odo BTW

Did a run in the countryside last Sunday. Found a great bit of road with high speed twisties and did 60km in each direction. Total for the day was 470km. Reserve light flicked on and off between 243km and 250km. At 250km it remained on. I usually get 49km from this point to bone dry.

I'm getting about the same as you Adrian, depending on how hard I'm riding, about 180 km round trip to work and back and still have plenty in the tank, I run only the shell premium in mine, 98 octane rating.
