I'm getting about the same as you Adrian, depending on how hard I'm riding, about 180 km round trip to work and back and still have plenty in the tank, I run only the shell premium in mine, 98 octane rating.
Less Ethanol perhaps?

back roads riding which is medium aggressiveness I get 95-100 before the light... commuting 120-130
I ride at a medium pace. I push hard occasionally. Gotta get that thrill. I usually get around 95-100 miles on a tank before the light comes on and I give it about 3 gallons usually so thats roughly 33 mpg. I'm fine with that. My old 900 SS/SP would get a little better than that and my 996 was a little better but they were alot slower too.
So 160 kms? Really? Damn. I would be empty!!!
Have you ever had shift light illuminate or redline? I kid. Mine gets horrible fuel mileage. Seems I am always the one stopping the group for fuel. But I live in the upper RPM. My V4 begs for it.Wow, these are very poor numbers. I guess I am the most conservative rider here. Commuting, I get over 160 miles per tank before I refuel and when I do it fills to no more than 4 gallons, telling me that I still have some distance left. The aggregated MPGs mostly freeway is no less than 42mpg. I'm near 11K miles on the Odo BTW
