how many of you are using back protector while riding on street??

I wear a jacket with back protection and if i am ever going for a very spirited ride I wear full suit with back protector.

My best friend broke T3, T4 and T5 last year while wearing full gear and back protector, without that he would surely have passed away..

stay safe

My recreational rides are always in my 1-piece, back protector always on. Saved my ass in a really bad wreck I had back in 2010 on the street.

I have a back protector on always when I ride, whether a its built into the jacket or a stand alone with the jacket on top. I have a few different ones to go with each jacket fitment

Always. If you are already riding with a jacket, you would be moron to not have a back protector.

I'm using the Dainese Wave G.

I always wear the Alpinestars Bionic Vest under my jacket. It gives back and chest protection in one. The jacket has soft armor in those locations but I like the hard armor of the vest.

FWIW, a friend of mine and I did a ride on a mountain road where he went off the pavement.
He landed on his back on top of something that punched a sizeable hole through his leathers.
Thanks to his back protector he is still here to tell me about it and suffered no injuries.

Jacket with back and chest protection, Helmet, Gloves and Riding Shoes on Every Ride.
Not worth the risk to go without.

Me. I ride to work every day and wear a Dainese full sized back protector. In my two full race suits, I have a back and a chest protector that I wear for street and track.

About 7 years ago, I was hit by a Woman that ran a red light by 7 seconds; she punted me 25 feet through the air and I landed under a truck. I was wearing full gear, including back protector and my injuries were 5 broken ribs, 3 crushed intercostal nerves that had to be surgically removed and a broken wrist, that's all. If I had not been wearing full gear, I would probably be dead or worse, right now.

I always have a back protector and leathers on when I am riding. No sense in having protective gear and not wearing it. Wear all the protection you can, every time you ride. Stay safe out there
