Hello,

My name is Eddie, I just purchased a brand new 2013 1199 Panigale Base from a Ducati dealer in Florida. I was wondering how much should I have paid for this amazing machine. I see MSRP's everywhere stating that it starts at $17,995 yet the dealer told me this was a mistake from Ducati and I will NEVER find the 2013 at this price. So they told me the ACTUAL MSRP was $18,995. I ended up paying $19,000 out the door for the bike. Please let me know your experiance and what you think about this information. Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Eddie

Congrats on your new Pani! :D
I just picked up a new 2012 for $16,950 with and additional $1,000 to spend as I wish in parts, accessories or service. Was looking to pick up a 2013 but couldn't turn down thousands less with 1k to spend for a bike with 7 miles on it. Sorry i didnt follow up on the 2013 price but I dont think you got ripped off.

all the 2013 have abs that's why they are 1k more. that's at least what i was told by a hand full of dealers.

UK prices have gone up for 2013 and the on the road charges have also increased.

Not sure about the Base model but my 1199s with ABS was £19750 in 2012 and is £19995 in 2013. With the new on the road charges your looking at close to 21k all in.

You must have gotten the NON ABS model for that price? Either way sounds like you got a great deal.

I chose the 2013 because I wanted the ABS (as its basically standard moving forward) and I figured the newer model year with the oil site cut out in farring wouldnt hurt either...

FYI, if you're in the market for a '12 my local dealer in Chattanooga is blowing out the 2012 base models they have left at $14,995. None too thrilled personally having just bought one mid summer for rather more as you might imagine, but Ducati dumped their allotment on them late in the season so I don't blame them for moving the inventory out. Business is business - gotta turn the inventory over.

Anyway, worth a road trip I should think at that price and they won't last long - Google for them, they're not hard to find.

Very Nice

I just picked my 2012 for 17K OTD.

Thought I looked everywhere...

I want to thank everyone for all the info. This forum is amazing and has some really nice qualitative people. ;-) Now I actually feel good about the purchase knowing that I didn't get ripped off.

Thank you Steve, unfortunately I already bought a 2013. What is the difference in the 2012 and 2013? Thank you, Eddie.

Nothing, the Tax man brought both of them for me, oops, sorry the business... sshhhhhhh! Don't tell him...

Tough year last year, business only just broke even... Had to get a new trailer for work and 2 new fast response vehicles for our 24 hour emergency call out... Heheheheheheh...

Seriously, thank you to our sponsors for both the base and the S, a huge commitment from them, and great fun for us.. Even got a road bike to set up for their Boss, haven't given it back yet...

:)
