How often do you bleed your clutch?

I didnt read all 4 pages so excuse me if this was covered, but this issue is SUPER easy to deal with. Mine gets weak after a few weeks of sitting. I just crack the bleeder at the master cylinder about a half turn, let it sit 60 seconds while watching for fluid to rise out of the bleeder. If it hasnt I very lightly and slowly squeeze the lever fractions of an inch until I see fluid come just short of the top of the bleeder, and close bleeder. instantly like new!I thing a bubble forms in MC that is uphill of the hose to the res. All I know is it always work, no mess, no labor. Try it.

This worked well for me; it reduced the play at the levers going into the MC. 30 seconds with a 11mm wrench is all it takes. Plus a rag or paper towel in case.

Yep! I am really tired of this kind of posts....
If you have a problem with the clutch hydraulics, chance the slave cyl. If problem persists, chance master cyl.
Ducati's SC design is probably as old as the fuel tank venting piece inside the cap or the f**king claxon. Must be some sort of a mob thing :)

But please.... Clutch hydraulics is one of the simplest things on this bike. Fix it yourself, don't complain for years about it. It's just boring....

Both have been replaced plus some anti rotational device.
Still not fixed and please tell me why one should put up with this on a $30K bike?

...just cause you love the bike.....thats about all......i've been dealing wiht this since the 1994 916, and its never been resolved....now i bleed it after each ride, and ask friends to carry an 11mm (& paper towel) for me :D

Brembo OEM gear is very cheap & nasty these days.
A mate pulled his Clutch SC apart and found very thin and soft piston seals (which seems to react with some types of brake fluid)

Im about to change my system out for Oberon SC with RCS MC now my bike is out of warranty.

Yep, its crap. After 5000 miles, my clutch fluid looks the same as the day it went in. I have never touched the system. You get what you pay for. Oh wait, uh, never mind.

I think I may have to do this as well I was waiting for genuine that had to come from italy but I think this may be a better option. I'm away for work at the moment but it will need oing as soon as I get back.Where in Aus are you DStyle?

I have bled the clutch on my Pani far more than previous Ducati's Funnily enough I stripped down the slave cylinder today as it was leaking fluid slightly. The seals on the piston looked fine, I cleaned the bore and smeared some red rubber grease on the seal, it seems better but I will still keep an eye on it.

My mechanic did that for me to get me out of trouble while I am waiting for the new SC to turn up, enough to get me home but it is still buggered.

A friend of mine has a BMW and they just had a recall where they simply placed a sponge in the reservoir. Has anyone tried the same on the Panigale?

I believe the idea is that due to the vibrations on their bike the sponge prevented the oil to bubble and prevent the need to bleed often.
