How to drain the tank

Hello everybody,

I'm going to bring my panigale to Europe with me and I have a full 20" container to load it along with my stuff. I heard they might ask me to drain the tank and I'm not sure how to do that w/o removing the tank itself. Any thoughts?

P.s. Anybody else has experience with containers and bikes?

syphon, cheapo pump style at autozone or something... have the can your pumping to lower than the gas tank and done in a few mins

go to walmart and buy a fluid transfer pump.

Stick one end in your tank and the other into a gas jug.

Get something like this:

It has a ball on the base that you shake with it submerged in the fuel and it suctions it out.

Removing the tank is fairly easy, but a fluid pump is obviously going to be easier.

You might have to drain the oil as well. Depends on the carrier.
