How to know the Model Year and date of built ?

Ducati confirmed me that all the Panigale 1299, including 2015 models, will have the option to upgrade their DTC directly at the dealership. And it should be free too.

That is a good news. I need to check with my dealer when it is going to be available.

Hi,

I probably would say when the Panigale arrived in mid to late December at the dealership, it should be a 2017.

@MrBIgBiker: Yours is a 2017, too? What is the last date on your Certificate Of Conformity?
(date between "Bologna" and *Signature of Plant Manager*)

The date on my C.O.C. is "13.12.2016" and my Panigale is a 2017.

Maybe it is an indicator for 2016/2017 and it helps some other people here.

I was told y BMW dealer when I bought my S1000RR that when the bike is produced after September it is counted as new year model, so if motorbike was built for example in September or later of 2016 it should be counted automatically as 2017 model.

My 1199 came with a stamp near the headstock with the manufacture date on it. The date was 04/2014. Although, now that I think about it, it still won't tell you the actual year model. Sorry, I tried! lol

US / Canada bikes only have the frame plate with the built date

also contacted Ducati by email, bike is MY2017, but they dont have info on the built date . hope the DCS screenshot will be enough for the DMV.

If I remember the Anniversario also was longer and had an R geometry? I wonder if its also the case in the MY17...

The Anniversario is the same as the 1299 and the R, the R just has an adjustable swingarm pivot point . Stock is the -4mm that is on all the 1299 Panigale and there's four mm of movement back up to the same as the earlier 1199 Panigale bikes.

The R and Anniversarios steering head is offset 5mm further forward than the 1299 and 1299s.
