I am converting a damaged 1299s to a snow bike
only had front fairing damage

the bike kit to convert to snow is done using the yeti rear kit and my own version of front ski

I have a tune boy program for it to delete the exhaust valve the guy said its the same tune for S or regular platform as is the computer

I want to get rid of as much of the race electronics as possible

will pay time for competent race mechanic to help me with deleting abs and shock programs
I will do the work will pay for guidance etc
just don't want to throw all the ecu codes


also if you have a way to delete the dash so I can run a simple aim system to show gear temp and as im not sure the stock dash will handle cold temps and constant snow

Which kit are you using? I am looking at a Timbersled right now to do the same thing with, on an R6 or ZX6R

Edit: nevermind, see you are using the Yeti. Did you already buy it? How much fabrication are you looking at?

i don't think a panigale will last long doing that nonsense.

Any pics of current progress?

If you want to get rid of the stock dash set up anyway, why not throw the bike in race mode (turns off rear abs), and just run it without the dash? You wont be using the front brakes anyway. Will it even trigger the abs system if you aren't activating the front brake? I would be hesitant to modify the electronics.

Would like to see a video of it running taken from someone on another bike. We really don't see much from his helmet cam.

Seems like an interesting/noble effort to take on, but honestly IMO isn't a good platform option.

Most of the places where you would want to ride (like in the GSXR vid) have at least 10-15mi of bumpy ... trail system to get into. On a street bike with very little suspension travel and a chassis that is not built to take that kind of repeated pounding, it wouldn't seem like a solid choice. I grew up in Alaska and spent A LOT of time on snowmachines. Honestly, I'd go for something more lightweight/agile, with as much HP as possible and a chassis that is built to take a beating. Again, just my opinion.

I love the idea of the snowbikes and have been wanting to give one a go for quite some time. I have several buddies who have them.

If I were to give it a go, I'd probably pick up one of the new 2017 Husqvarna 701 supermoto bikes. It's a 693cc single with great power-to-weight and would be a WAAAY simpler conversion. Up 6HP from the 2016 model using the 690 duke engine and I'm sure could be squeezed for a bit more pretty easily.
