I just got rid of throttle slop!

There was literally 2mm left. I'm an engineering type and tend to take things to their logical conclusion (sometimes to a ridiculous extent), so I just had to see what it would be like with ZERO slop.

Cheers.

Hmm, sounds like the ebay kit is an even better fit then. Literally zero play on my throttle after installing the kit! The responsiveness is insane. I invite all my friends to give it a blip just to see their jaws drop :D Oh, and the termis help with that too!

I just installed the throttle spacer kit purchased from eBay. It was $30 and took about 8-10 mins to install. Everything fit absolutely perfectly.

There is now absolutely zero slack/play in the throttle assembly.

WOW...Throttle response is FAR MORE accurate after getting rid of the slop. Everything is tighter and more responsive. As someone stated earlier, the throttle now feels telepathic vs. what it felt like before putting in the spacers.

This could easily by the best $30 investment I've ever made.

For those of you who haven't done this quick little mod yet, I HIGHLY recommended.

And the kit being sold on eBay for $29 includes the funky little tri-wing bit you'll need to take apart the throttle housing.

Awesome...and so easy...

Still, nobody has the 3d file or the exact measurements of the parts? Jamesz3, you're no longer producing but can you put the file online?

Does anyone else think it might not be such a good idea to cut a piece of license plate holder and glue it into the throttle control of your exotic Ducati 1299??? Hmmmm........ I hope so.

They're nice and all.. but it's just a bike at the end of the day. Do what you gotta do to make it how YOU like it.

Now, trusting the superglue to hold indefinitely is a whole other deal.. :p

I agree that everyone should make the bike how THEY like it. And hey, I get the concept of "in house modification." But, super glue + throttle control + high rate of speed..................... I'm not even talking about the fact that it's a "Ducati" Ooooooooooooooooo Nope. I've owned a couple of them, and you are correct. They are just bikes. But again, the combination above seems to me like a recipe for disaster. Especially when there is a perfectly legitimate aftermarket fix for the issue. Every time I tried to "in house modify" my 999 I'd look at it later and go, "What was I thinking?" Just sayin...........

I thought if somebody has this file for 3D printing and I have acces to a 3D printer, it is much easier and cheaper to just print it. So...

OK - 10 sets are spoken for with my friends so this leaves ~ 10 sets for forum members, since this is extremely time consuming to do right. First-come first served.

Paypal [email protected] $20 (as gift) or 3% paypal fee (I think). MAKE SURE TO NOTE YOUR CONFIRMED SHIPPING ADDRESS.

I really don't want to produce any more units, but I guess upto 20 sets max. First come first served.

By agreeing to purchase, you are making note that you understand the below:

This throttle spacer kit is intended for racing only. Installation of this kit will result in an extremely responsive throttle and some may find difficult to control. Only racers and experienced riders looking for instant throttle response should install this kit. Installation, especially improper installation of this kit may lead to unexpected throttle behavior, including but not limited to stuck throttle, which may result in a crash.

Fits Ducati Panigale 899/1199/1299.

I'am in. Can be send to my address in Miami.
