One of the best parts for me on the 999 was the exhaust and they replaced it with something like that .
Other than than that the bike looks good .
 
Love the tail...looks better than the original 999...my opinion.;)

I still think Terblanche went off the rails with his interpretation of the Ducati Superbike. This one looks much better, but frankly it looks "inspired" by the Double Dog Moto 1098:

Double dog has no tail, gimme a little tail at least. I vote for the 999 and its exhaust, wish the Pani exhaust could be like the 999 with no loop.
 
First: Thank you JeffD for posting the pics. That website sucks with all the advertisements intruding. It was like having DTC on the lowest setting riding in gravel.
Second: That might be the best looking 999 I've seen. I love it! Sales of the 999 would have hit the ceiling if they had done something like that.

Ugh.

999 had a breadbox for an exhaust. One of the least visually appealing (out of a LOT of visually unappealing) things on the 999.
