I rewound the bolt

Hello, The last time I did oil change I think I rewound one of the bolts of the oil filter cap. There is no oil leak or something after 2 trackdays but I have to do another oil change and I dont know what to do now. Does somebody had same issue and how you fixed it ? Sometimes there is space for longer bolt and when you put longer there is no problem. Any idea would be welcome. Thanks.

P.S. I am not sure if thread is broken but just before I stop tightening i felt like it gets more easy.

Probably cross threaded it if that's happening, but it isnt the end of the world. I know someone who had something similar happen recently on his 959 and he just used a helicoil to fix it. Easy peasy.

I stripped one of the clutch bolts on my 1199 when swapping to an Oberon slave cylinder. All you have to do is use a coil. Its a very easy repair.

Definitely helicoil. It removes the smallest amount of material and is very easy to do. Just make sure you go slow with the tap for the coil though. A little oil and back it off as it tightens then go again.
