You forgot the belts - I have 2 - one for the leathers and one for everyday jeans. (i.e. I wear the same pair every day). I do have a problem with the buckles, they seem to be getting really hot, and I am getting blisters on my belly. I tried to put a piece of CF behind them, but I think DNA is coming out with a fix.

I think Jay wears full leathers at work. Sorry, DUCATI full leathers. I guess he drinks coffee with a straw since the chin bar gets in the way on his DUCATI helmet.

Yea, I walked by his cube, and you guessed it, he was drinking from this:

Cox rad guard: Unexpensive, good quality, too hard to install.

DP buckle guard: Won't stick

MLabel stubby levers: I know I know, Chinese, but surprisingly good (40$/pair!)

Gilles rearsets black: Excellent craftsmanship, perfect fit, GP shift with OEM quickshifter.

Comp Werkes tail tidy: Love it

Luxmachine turn signals: Well maid, unexpensive but a bit small for my taste..... will see.

Corse fairing stickers: 25$ on Ebay Italy....hard to say no!

Ohlins TTX: arriving soon

Revalving the Marzocchis: Next week.

Aren't we a bit like drunks? In my numbed mind I had almost nothing done and now that I make up the list....:eek::eek:

Cox, why are they "too hard" to install?

PRM (Pro Racer Mode) ECU flash.

Adds an additional 20HP at the rear wheel.:D

Comfort seat
Exhaust
Tail Tidy-One of these days I'll install mine.

Gas! With the recent gas hikes could be considered a mod? It's almost as expensive.

All high performance belt buckles are going to get hot. No getting around it. Man up and live with it.

[disclaimer]I don't own one of your belt buckles yet, I'm just a lurker on the buckle forum, so please feel free to disregard my opinion[/disclaimer]

Ducati jacket, Ducati helmet, Ducati keychain, Ducati banana hammock (get the ones with the breathers ..the mesh panels on the side.. I hear the bike runs hot), Ducati socks, Ducati sunglasses, Ducati hat, Ducati shirt, Ducati jeans, then Ducati watch. Then maybe some parts for the bike itself.

I cant afford the full leathers, plus im kinda fat in the stomache and i dont think i would look too flatering in them nor would i probably even be able to squeeze in them :D

What?!?! If you can afford a Rolex you can afford a piddly set or four of Ducati leathers.

Dude, Im 6ft, 240, the only kinda leather i will look good in is below. I think id like the way it feels plus i think it would be bad ass for riding at night, dont you agree?

ok, sorry back on topic.

IMHO, the must do upgrades in order are:

Tail Tidy/Eliminator
Radiator Guard (at least a lower)
Comfort or Race Seat
New pegs or rearsets

After that, you can go as crazy as you want, but I think these are the definite must dos from a functional, protective and cosmetic standpoint.

Im mechanically mentally slow (to be politically correct) but what is all this talk about rearsets? Is it really worth the money and what will it do for me anyway? If so what exact rearsets do you recomend and how much do they cost...

You will get more opinions than there are members on the board. IMHO, the stock rearsets are fine for what I do, but I didn't like how slippery the pegs were. I just switched the pegs for some LSL race pegs. Total cost - less than $100. Others will come along now and chime in about Rizoma, Ducabike, Lightech and DP rearsets. I think prices range from $500 or so to around $800.

Here's a pic of the LSLs that somebody else on the forum did - they just forgot to put the black end cap in.

1) Race seat or comfort seat.
2) A correctly sprung shock....the Ohlins TTX works great.
3) Correct fork springs for your weight.
4) A new set of tires, 'cause they wear out awful quick.
5) Grippier footpegs.
6) Carbon for carbon's sake on a street bike is for poseurs.

Then, maybe, shorter gearing....or lots of gasoline....oh...I know...warm weather!

+1 on this.

Get the bike sorted first. Then worry about looks. Listen to Cloner. He knows what he's talking about (most of the time).

Hi Cloner. It's Charlie from Duc list. :)
