Indicator Issue

I mentioned it to my dealer when I brought it in for the ECU flash and they knew right away that the dash needed to be replaced. Took a week to get a new one in but it's done. Good luck trying to replicate the problem as my was intermittent.

Do you have any recall number that was used for this? My dealer needs to look at the issue and see if it is just a switch housing issue or a dash issue.

No but I can call them and ask. I didn't have to explain or argue the matter. They knew the situation and the solution right when I mentioned it.

I'll check on it tomorrow.

I had this same issue with my bike today too. i wonder if it has to do with the heat because this is the first time my bike was running over 200+ degrees and this is when the issue happened.

I bought my bike used, and in the three times ridden it, the indicator issue has occured. On my bike only the right signal and top button are affected. I even shot the video below to use as evidence when I take it in.

My observations -- while I can't pinpoint exactly when it happens, I've been fairly consistent it noticing it about 10 min into the ride. There's no way to determine the root cause, but I can't help to think heat is a factor -- like something electronic is susceptible to it. I say this because it happens after the bike gets warmed up (been riding in 50F weather). I can turn off the bike, turn it back on, and the problem still exists. Not until the bike has sat a while (cooled down?) that the fuctions start working again. Again, I don't want to speculate, just pointing out what I observe.

You need the dash replacement. That happens after the new ecu flash.

I am due a new dash due to this issue...but I did note yesterday a further issue I hadn't seen before... When my low fuel came on it didn't trigger the Trip F....

This is one of many threads that will have a WHOLE different tone when we are all out of warranty

Totally.... These dashes are over a grand I believe.. That's why I am getting mine now... hopefully this is a one time deal (fingers crossed)

400km on the clock and mine has just done the same, right turn signal not working. Turn power off and on and sometimes works for a few minutes then gone. Need to call the dealer and explain as per what has been discussed here. Sounds like the display, i thought it was the switch up till reading this - very handy site.

Cheers

Mine is a first shipment Pani, it started happening to my indicators and slowly got more frequent, even to the point of the mode button was no longer working.

It was not a dash problem, but required a new wiring harness. It was on a Ducati bulletin at the dealer, as soon as I rang them they knew.
It only happens when it gets too hot, I think the new harness has some insulation.
So no problems, and took them about an hour.

All is fine now.

Welcome to the Dash Club:), ducati is on the number four generation and still no fix, i already replaced 3 and waiting for the new one I don't keep track of my mile any more every time they put a dash my bike start at 0 mile lol

likely as not it's only the wire harness needs the tsb881 done (it's in a thread here on the forum).

has your bike had the tsb881 fix done. Early loads of people were getting new dashes when it was just the harness overheating. This is what happened I mine, ordered the part (about $8) and took me about half hour to install.
