I never understood why people take it upon themselves to badmouth someone for using a sportbike however the .... they choose to use it, whether it be pro racing, your average weekend warrior/canyon carver, commuter or even those who go to meets and talk about bikes n show off their creation. The guy doesn't have .... to prove to anyone.

People buy bikes and even mod them for different reasons. If it makes sense to the owner, guess what. No one elses opinion matters. The dude has a ridiculously modded Panigale and it looks killer. I don't care if I was a pro racer myself. I'd choose a much cheaper platform to push the limits than a heavily invested in Panigale.

Some of us post photos and info of our bikes to pass on and share our experiences with other enthusiasts. No one is ever going to agree with everyone's taste 100% of the time or even agree with reasons for changing parts on it. If all these mods give him a boner, I'd say that would be good enough for me to mod. Hell, I've taken this same approach just like some others on here have.

We all have good taste in bikes, obviously. We ride the sexiest thing on two wheels. Some of us choose to add our own personal touch to a bike to stand out from the crowd. You can rest assured there isn't another Panigale out there like scrapper's. Instead of givin him .... simply because YOU can't justify these mods, we should be appreciative that we have guys who make certain changes and share their experiences for others to benefit from so they don't make the same potential mistake and avoid a headache altogether.

I've ridden with scrapper n the dude is a stand up guy. I don't know what else you could possibly do to this bike man. You may get bored soon and want to invest in another project once the mods are done n nothing left to do lol.

Thanks Double0 well said. We identify squids by the ones who comments on chickens strips. Squids thinks chicken strips are an indication of a persons riding ability. I see a lot of squids trash their brand new bikes/hurt other people on the Snake or canyons trying to get rid of the so called chicken strips on the street. We call them "Slow riders" People don't realize you get your knee down to decrease lean angle of your bike so the faster and better contact patch/grip around a turn. To get the edges off a 200 tire on the street is just a squid thing to do.

For those who may want to know. I usually buy and ride on the street/canyons a different bike every 2 years and then turn them into a dedicated track bike. During the "street riding phase" I add mods to get them ready to turn them into a dedicated track bike. I do track it to test the performance mods. I like to get "my money worth" before I trash the bike on the track. Im preparing this bike for a dedicated track bike in 2015 of course it all depends on what Ducati has in store for us in 2015. Then the mod phase begins all over :D

Same here. It's always amusing when strangers comment on the chicken strips on my MV Agusta F4 commuter bike and they have no idea how far I lay my 916 down at the track. I let them mire in their perceived sense of authority/skill. Not worth my time to even bother with a response. For what?

lol dont let people get you op is your money and by the way they look very very good

Don't you have some light engine internal mods also?

Dude with the money invested in mods, you coulda had another Panigale haha.

yes
High Compression pistons/rings (custom built)
Carillo conrods
Cam timing
head work
R - fly wheel (not yet installed)
Super Stock ECU (Not yet Installed)

I could of bought another Pani but then I would of had to mod both bikes.:D
I get really good deals on the parts except for stuff from Ducati (no connection there) but Lightech, CNC, Brembo, tires, Ohlins, BST etc I normally don't pay retail. Engine work/suspension/engine tune work I go to a mad scientist (a Buddy of mine who build drag bikes for a living and its free).

For what it's worth, I wasn't bad mouthing anyone. I think the bike is incredibly well decked out. I was merely stating that the rear tire isn't being pushed hard(as someone posted scrapper has a dedicated track bike) and consequently this is a street bike. So it stands to reason that if this is in fact a street bike, the the modifications, no matter how tasteful, are cosmetic. Nothing wrong with that at all, but it doesn't make my observation incorrect. In fact, it actually proves my point. Those types of mods have no real benefit on the street.

Call me a squid if you like, it doesn't hurt my feelings. I am a chemical engineer who rides once a week if I'm lucky to decompress and enjoy my free time. I don't race or go to tracks. But it is humorous to see how quickly people make assumptions about myself. Oh the irony of the internet.

Anyway, to be clear, I think the bike is awesome and I love the parts. You guys really need to chill out and untie the knots in your panties.:D

There is no need for a $20-30K 1199 Panigale for the streets if you put it that way.

I don't ride much on the street, mostly canyons and believe me any canyons around here is way more technically challenging than a track. Although not to the speeds you see on the track. Tracks are designed to be pretty much safe with 15-19 turns you can memorize. If you go wide you have run off, grass, gravel, safety walls. The canyons too many turns to memorize, loose gravel and no room for error. You and a have a 200 ft cliff, a metal guard rail that will split you in half or on coming traffic, oil, water etc. Believe me there is a need for performance mods for canyon riding or street riding.

The Rear tire is brand new less than two weeks. I have went through 2 sets of SP V2, 2 sets of SC2, a set of Q3's and just installed the SP V1 since I had this bike 7.5K. mi.

No hard feelings taken

Nice mods. Out of curiosity, what do you estimate the new kerb weight to be after installing the carbon tank?

You buy what you want. Vanity and self satisfaction is part and parcel of owning such beauty as Panigale.
You'd be lying to not want your wife to look the best she could for those special occasions. :)

I'd be keen to know how such brake combo feels different from stock, please. Please do tell us the story!
every time I see those MotoGP guys got their bikes diving when braking going to their grid places slowly it gives me orgasm. Every single time. Tell me, do these feel like that?
