I was hoping someone around here can help me with my taillight modification.
What i would like to accomplish is that the left and right side leds of the tail light will blink along with the turn signals.
I know it can be done because there are several films on YouTube showing this.
It is done by someone called Tbot Wolaver but i haven't been able to contact this guy.
Is there anybody out here that knows the schematics for this particular modification?

I have already cracked open the rear light but know i need to figure out how to connect the wiring.

Can you post a picture of the LED circuit board? I assume that you baked it open in the oven to break the weather sealant. What temperature did it require?

I would love to see sequential turn signal and dimable DRL through a fiber optic pipe like the factory audi models have and the 2020 models

I don’t see how you could fit that type into the factory housing without obstructing the beam but gluing a led strip onto the outside of the lens is not appealing to me

Can't shoot a picture at this moment because i'm phoneless. Maybe later.
Yes i baked open the lights in the oven at 100 degrees celcius. Put it in for 10 minutes and gently open the housing bit by bit. Took me 7 to 8 runs for each light to open up without cracking the lens.

There is more than enough room inside the housing to fit the led strips. I have the flowing ones similar to the blinkers that Audi is using. I have already figured it out and hope to have everything ready by the end of next week.

R u modifying the S model factory LED headlights? Or the regular halogen headlight assembly?

this could be profitable for u on here for the guys (like me) that want to give they’re old supermodel 1 feature that will keep the bike fresh for 2020

I love lights

Yes i have the S model LED headlight. I can tell u i was a bit nervous putting that 1250 dollar unit into the oven but luckily it turned out fine. Now i only have to glue in the led strips and close up the housing again. I am taking my time to do it and hopefully have it ready next week so i can ride the bike again. It's sitting in the shed for months know.

I know about the Gecko rear light and that thing is truly amazing!! But i am not even trying to get close to that. It is way beyond my skill and knowledge. Mine will be the low budget version.

Ur new username can be HeadlightSurgeon. Very awesome project. Keep us posted and definitely share the pix along the way. Exciting!

I think they could have added another bank of relays and diodes to activate the brake lights (brighter portion) while signaling. It adds complexity when the brakes are on but it’s doable.

next step for ur headlights is a wigwag so ppl gtf out of the left hand lane

Check the out for the S1000.

I wanted to make an observation that when the OEM fits headlights with that fiber optic pipe, it acts as a lens to focus the light output exactly where it needs to be
