given the stats and accomplishments on the very day that talent comment was uttered, it was already comical and inane and even disrespectful. today it's looking far worse for the wear. (orange tinted glasses prevent Marktard from appreciating that.)

vast take your yellow wig off already. rossi is the most over rated racer in the history of racing 2 or 4 wheels. the comment i guess rang true becasue it was 2011 when it was said. rossi won 1 title 09 when he didnt have a clear advantage over the entire field and has never won since that comment was made.
i guess casey was nostradamus. his ambition to fix the ducati never happened because he wasnt talented enough to ride it or develop it. he was given cart blanche with jeremy and did 0 actually set ducati back years and he gave up basically when he tested the bike (the same bike stoner was on for the baseline test) and wasnt within 3 seconds of stoners times set the weekend before.
again to reinterate because you are a little slow
your ambition out weighs your talent was said becasue rossi said
we can fix the ducati in 30 seconds.
what happened ducati was set back years and rossi STILL and WONT have another championship since it was said.
THOSE PESKY FACTS.

what was disrespctful was going to the guys garage with your helmet on like a girl to apologize.

PS for someone that wants me off the forum so badly you sure do engage me a lot. even for the 3 years you were on block you tried to engage with no response but you kept coming back.

Mark, what year did Stoner win the title on the Ducati? I want to watch that season again when MOTOGP goes into summer break.

The other great thing about having casey test the ducati is when these guys say it cant be done or that doesnt work and casey makes it work they have nothing to say.

anyway this post wasnt about casey it was about jorge and where will he go from here.

stoner won in 2007 on the ducati 2011 on the honda

ps watching stoner on the ducati knowing everything you know now about the characteristics of the bike and how there hasnt been a rider to do what he did since makes it even better. watching the bike buck and pull and shimmy all over the place is very impressive

9 championships vs how many? yeah, pesky facts. lol.

1 championship in 09 thats it. 08 was a joke as he was the only one on his own tires lol or he would have cried and quit.

all the others were a joke anybody would have won on that honda and the tire advantage was just insane.

again the reason we have spec tires is the fact that casey was mopping the floor with rossi.

again since you are so slow Spec Tires - Are They Necessary? | Sport Rider

all you need to know
The problem is the result of the races," Ezpeleta said. "The impact on the show has been very bad." So he floated the idea of spec tires in MotoGP. The reactions were almost equally split between condemnation and commendation. And now the proposal is being considered for the AMA Superbike Championship.

Casey Stoner was largely responsible for the MotoGP curveball. The 21-year-old Australian was not only winning, he was winning by big margins. But more importantly, Valentino Rossi wasn't winning. The seven-time world champion is the consummate showman; if he chases the leader for most of the race and makes a pass on the final lap, he is hailed as the conquering hero. And so everyone sticks around to see how the races end.

in the end, Bridgestone got another premier rider for 2008, Michelin ramped up its program, the tire restrictions were loosened and the show went on. Ezpeleta brokered a deal three weeks later that put Rossi on Bridgestone tires (his teammate Jorge Lorenzo will remain on Michelins). The Italian press reported that Ezpeleta visited Rossi in his hotel room, where Rossi threatened to quit if he didn't get Bridgestones. Whether the story is true or not—and a fair number of paddock wags believe it is—it illustrates the drawing power of Rossi. No one else commands that much attention, certainly not the Repsol Honda team, which was convinced to stay on Michelins after rider Dani Pedrosa pined for Bridgestones.

biggest fraud in racing as we have been seeing since 2011 when the deal was going to be made to go back to yamaha. the sabotaging of ben spies the getting rid of the number 1 rider at yamaha, lorenzo all to try and get another championship and its not working. hell if i knew all this in 2013 i would have said give him 10 and let him go home. the 2015 antics were a joke JLO tire disappearing in 2016 and now this year tire debacle.. how much more evidence do you need?

vast you are going back on block i cant waste my time with you if i enjoyed engaging with you i would keep you around but i dont even like it. on the bright side you can have and be honored you are the only one i have ever blocked and now its twice.

rossi fans and obama supporters are one in the same. (i am talking about their mindset not politics)

rossi fan he is 9x world champ and all that jazz

obama supporter the stock market doubled under obama.

both statements are true, however if you dont look at the unterlying factors and WHY these events happened then you will just walk around bllindly saying these "facts" sounding like a marron :)

stock market up because the fed printed money for 8 straight years at 0 % interest

rossi titles because every advantage that was possible at every single moment. playing field was never a level one tires race direction never punished for aggressive racing or rule breaking (funny we hear zarco is aggressive thats a good one)

stock "market" tripled under Obama - get your facts straight. and CPI-adjusted (which is purposely low) it was NIRP for 8yrs+.

9 championships vs how many? 189 podiums, 89 wins and 4787 points, so far. still winning and still in title contention. facts.

i know it's hard to comprehend facts when you're in the back of the waaaaambulance getting rushed away sirens blaring.

ps Rossi puts his ass in the seat and risks life and limb to become the GOAT, while central planners cntrl +p and print fiat out of thin air so that community disorganizers like Obama can take credit - big difference, no?

What's more impressive?

Rossi 04 on Yamaha (Yamaha has 1 podium entire season in 03)
Stoner 07 (remember Loris and Bayliss came in 1-2 in the last race of 06)
Marquez 14 (10 wins in a row)

Nothing rossi has ever done is impressive period. Burgess has said the Yamaha was just about ready when he got there. Again when your tires work and nobody else does how can you not win

Mark, again I don't know much about the series or racing in general. Is it your contention that throughout Rossi's run that every year he has won a championship that he has had the tire mfg make special tires for him that no one knew about and no one else could get? If that truly is the case then his championships at least need an asterisk next to them. I just have a hard time understanding how you get Michelin and Bridgestone to run a clandestine operation like that without anyone knowing. Dorna would surly have to be in on it. Are there any ex Michelin or Bridgestone guys that have verified this in and interview or something? It would be pretty hard with all the moving pieces to keep it a secret especially with riders, mechanics and staff moving around between mfg. Thats a lot of people having to "look the other way". I did a search and all I can find is "chat board rumors" which I cannot verify. Do you have any links to any credible sources other than guys who hate Rossi? Not doubting you, I would just like to read about it.

that is 100% what i am saying they new about it. thats just how things worked back then until casey stoner came along and started whooping him. then all of a sudden nobody can have different tires and spec tires came out except for of course rossi. he got his tires and everybody else got theirs that was in 08 in 09 everybody was on the same. i will give rossi that.

one of the reasons nicky won the title was in 06 dani didnt want the tires given to him and toni elias took them. elias won the race and not rossi. normally elias wouldnt have had those tires but dani didnt want them.

read it for yourself dont believe me

endo it was known it wasnt secret. the tire companies competed and used the data from the top guys. rossi was on honda they took his input and data and developed the tire for him. end of story

when you hate so much, have zero actual evidence and then try to misconstrue how motogp was run for decades, you get...the forum ass^'s wild conspiracy theories. not single iota of proof, kind of like Russia hacking the last race too....

next up: all riders not on the same exact bike (with whichever rider i prefer) have obviously cheated. LOL.

edit: & if Rossi wasn't at the top of the heap all of his career, then he would not have had any tire input in the first place. see how that goes? & of course last weekend the Russians slipped Rossi a pair of super-duper-secret-sauce-tires, right? gtfo already.

Back then all the tire manufactures were running special tires for the factory teams. Michellin had the most advanced tire production machine ever installed in a semi trailer and was literally making custom tires at the track for the factory teams based upon the conditions. It was a large reason why we ended up with spec tires. It wasn't just a Bridgestone thing, it was everyone. Bridgestone just did it better than everyone else.

This isn't a secret. Dunlop was doing the same thing in AMA, Pirelli was doing it elsewhere. Spies and Mladin's tires were rumored to be worth well over a second a lap alone when they ran off a string of 3 straight years of Suzuki winning every AMA race. Doesn't mean that anyone else would have caught those guys with the same tires either.

in 08 in 09 everybody was on the same. i will give rossi that.
