Is Dovi leaving ducati?

They let Casey Stoner go and then employed Val, Ducati has a history of interesting decisions.

Casey wanted to go if you read his book, sick of tall popey syndrome/booed at/spat on.

Ducati f*cked up was not developing the bike after they won the championship.

Why would Ducati let Dovi go, unless his manager is demanding a similar wage to Lorenzo? He showed he was competitive on the bike last year, unfortunately Honda have moved the game on over the winter and its a big gap to bridge for the rest of the field.

The new RCV is even making Crutchlow look good, my mum could ride it and finish in the points. :D

If he wants Lorenzo money, then pay him Lorenzo money. He's doing Lorenzo's job - fighting for the championship. If they don't think he's "worth" Lorenzo money then they're looking at the past, not the present. Dovi has established himself as one of the top riders on the grid.

Lorenzo was a mistake, one Ducati should have saw coming. They know the characteristics of the Yamaha and how Lorenzo rode it, and should have been able to see that does not fit the Ducati. They'd have been better off getting a young fast rider to team with Dovi.

That being said, no one is going to pay Dovi more than Ducati is. I don't know how welcome he would be at HRC, after he forced them to run a 3 rider factory team in what was it, 2011? HRC holds a grudge.

on top of that after winning the championship casey's contract was coming due. they cried they didnt have any money to sign him. casey signed with them (if you read his book he is very loyal) and then he got sick. Ducati didnt believe he was sick and offered lorenzo more money than they were paying casey. that was the end of casey and ducati.

funny thing about all of it is casey ended up being right about the ducati and the honda which neither factory believed what he was saying.

give casey half a season on the ducati he would beat dovi

as this drags on it is looking more likely. if it does happen ducati has to sign iaonne as he is the only one that has won on the ducati.

Dall'Igna stated that he is not too confident that Dovi will be a Ducati rider in 2019.

is this a strategy saying that? if Dovi goes what happens to the ducati progress?

Who knows Dovi was with Honda before. He could return. I just really hope Suzuki keeps Rins and Iaonne. But Iaonne leaves Suzuki I hope it is to return to Ducati.

Yeah read it, Ducati didn't want to put the effort into keeping Casey. That's what I meant, they had a real champion and pissed it up.

Iaonne is a hot item and has always been. Dovi and Iaonne should still be team mates on the Duc.
