Is this oil, should I be worried?

After doing a quick cleaning of the bike, I noticed what looks like an oil drip on the exhaust can.
Is this oil leaking from the header ?
The bike has done approximately 500 km (300 miles).

Do I need to take it to the dealership for a warranty claim, or not?

here are a few photos. Unfortunately some has been washed off, but you can still clearly see the "oil" drip?

I would take the fairings off and try to find where it is from before I worry.

Ditto. Are all the bolts tight from adding the clutch cover protector?

Of course if your dealer is close you can take it there for warranty. But yes i wouldn't worry too much for now. It could be anything. Last time mine was pissing oil because it was over filled and one of the breather port under the airbox did not have the hose attached to it.

In the Navy when I would go out to pre flight the jet, I would be alarmed if it wasn't leaking some sort oil or fuel or Skydrol. It usually meant is was out of something. Its a Ducati. If there is nothing out of the ordinary thats a sure sign that there is about to be so the leak just means that your probably safe from another potentially sinister reminder that your riding something Italian where pride often trumps precision. I have 5000 miles on bike 1. Not one drop of oil, H2o nothing. I know guys who have been leaking something since day one. Seems it all depends on the personality of the guy who glued your motor together. Hopefully its as simple as a cover in need a little hug. When you have the fairing off (watch the language when you snap off a plastic tab) its a good time to take a peek around for any gremlins and pretty much commit to checking every fastener you have access to.
