I just had my DP alarm installed and the dashboard LED light does not blink anymore. Does anyone eles's dashboard LED still blink when the DP alarm is enabled?

If you have the owners manual check out page 32 (note #11) and the the figure (Fig. 12) on page 33 that page 32 refers to. That was the LED light that when I turned my bike off before the DP Alarm was installed.

If you have the DP Alarm instructions; refer to page 6 & 7 in the sections "Condition with ENABLED alarm system:", "Arming the alarm system:" and "Armed state". In each section it refers to the LED blinking; indicating the Alarm is set/armed/enabled. But my LED from the owners manual that I was referring to above is now NOT blinking after the DP Alarm was installed.

I'm taking back to the Dealer on Tuesday when they open. Hopefully they'll have a resolution. If you anyones heres of a setting that I can simply set so it will "blink" again when the bike is off, just let me know.

Just checked my manual, its page 22 in mine. The manuals are all bike specific believe it or not. Did you read the note under #11 "Key off status for over 12 hours" - Light Off . I"m certain that LED on my dash has never blinked when alarm armed,ya couldn"t miss that its the big ...... at the top.

Yeah.. I saw that note but it used to flash immediately after I turned the bike off and took the key out of the ignition. i.e. less than 12 hours...

BTW... I have the Base with ABS model

I didn"t even get the alarm instructions, the salesman and me had to work it out in the back of the garage, whether one beep or two was armed or not, lol,we had a good laugh messing about. Just out of curiosity how many pages do you have in your owners manual? the one for the Tri goes to 246pages before turning Dutch lol. Literally. Probably twice as many pages than were in my 1098s manual.

256 pages...

I don't have the DP alarm, but can vouch for the LED light that flashes when the bike is off.

I had the DP alarm, removed it after it failed. The LED doesn't blink with the alarm fitted, does again now the alarm has been removed. Don't think it's anything to worry about.

I am having the rear shock replaced under warranty, so when i take it in I will ask about it. I don't remember if it ever used to when I set the alarm....

Took my bike in for the new map today and the dealer has called Ducati with this issue. The dealer said they would follow up with me as soon as the hear back from Ducati.

Hello apeluv.

I just found your post and would like to ask if you could figure out the issue ?
I have exactly the same problem with my new 959 Panigale and my dealer has no idea at the moment.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Karsten

light on dash blinks upon antitheft arm for 12 hours or so to let folks know that bike is protected by a self destruct device. After 12 hours light will stop blinking to save batteries. Not sure if it self destructs after that.

Nope... Bought a 1299 and new alarm for it and still the same issue. They said it still works that if the key is not recognized it will not start. The alarm is only a 'theft deterrent'. Meaning if someone try's to take it an alarm will sound and the standard security feature is also still engaged. But yes, still no light flashing on the dashboard.
