Agreed. I think Rossi ruined Zarco's shot at a factory Yamaha ride. But, then again Yamaha can't seem to get their .... together.

2 years since a first finish!?

Sheeit, i didnt think it was that long...

He appears to have had enough. I could be wrong, but hes my age, I cant keep up with the 20yr olds on the track either.

its been two fast years since washed up rossi has had a race win. i may be a little bias but i dont think he will ever win a race again. waste of a factory seat.

ps 10 years since a title but he has a shot.... not

I was hoping he would pull it off in Texas, but I think the sun is setting on his career. He may still have a win or two left, but -except for 2015- Rossi hasn't been a front runner in some time.

It seems the Yamaha is being developed more towards Maverick' style and Vale is struggling. This is the third time this year that Maverick, Franco, and Fabio have left him in the dust.

not sure about him wasting a factory seat but he is not the rider he used to be and hasn't been for a number of years and that's to be expected from a 40yr old, quite frankly it's amazing he is still competing at this level but Yamaha know this and so does MotoGP.

All you have to do is watch Fabio hanging on to that noodling M1 lap after lap holding off MM,
with an arm that isn't healed up yet. There are a new batch of hungry young immortals coming up, that are willing to stick their neck's WAY out, with the skill to back it up.
My hats are off to the "old" guys that are still out there, but the game is changing again.

What in gods name was wrong with that bike! I was watching thinking jesus christ this kid can ride, he's on a bike that wants to throw him off.

I could just imagine the boss of the team cursing out the guys that setup the bike lol

Is that a waste of 1 or 2 factory seats, it's not like Maverick is sitting the MotoGP world on fire himself. My riding skills will never allow me to say, that a grand pix level rider is wasting a seat. :)

He mentioned in the post race interview that his tighter line and wind caused them.

Once he took the wider line like MM and MV, the wobbles were not as bad.

It was crazy to watch.

I am not a big Rossi fan, but I can appreciate him
And I can imagine he still has a very big commercial value
