Look for any quick reviews or thoughts on the Jetprime E-Wire. Will it work with street fairings and with a headlight? Where did you mount the unit?

We had one on our racebike but I didn't like it, the bracket where the cable connects is a bit flimsy, throttle didn't feel all that smooth either.

Stop this nonsense. Get the Domino RBW and be done with it. If you can get the factory Corse e-wire great but that JP e-wire is a .... show

It means if you crash its no good. I have crashed and had it be fine, and I have crashed an had it not. If its not it throws an error and the throttle will only function in a default mode that feels like perm rev limiter

Ah ok. Thanks bro. 👊

So why do people want Jetprime over Domino? Seems like Domino is generally regarded as a solid upgrade from stock, and if I’m not mistaken, a plug and play installation for the V4? Are there any drawbacks with Domino that I’m not aware of? I’m considering getting one, so would be cool to hear from those of you who have one.

There was a thread where guys were having problems with the Domino. It’s also about twice the price.

I like the idea of there being a cable for better feel. The first few things I read about the Jetprime seemed like there might be some new owner gushing over what they just bought going on. Follow-up reviews don’t seem so favorable.

I was a little disappointed that the Jetprime just relocates the OEM throttle then remotely turns it with a cable. I thought the whole thing would be new but I suppose it makes sense given the cost.

Good info. Thanks man. I’ll try to find the thread and check out what the issues were all about.

Feel is totally subjective, Ive never had an issue with a stock throttle hence never changed but if you need a QA throttle then Domino seems solid. The whole idea of moving to a cable and remote set up appears to add another layer of complexity. Keep the stocker for a spare if you crash!

I more or less decided to stay with the OEM as I already have a spare. When I got heated grips for the Streetfighter it came with another throttle assembly so I have the original as a spare.

I've got the JetPrime quick action throttle. Testing next week 👌

Traded a 2005 Gixxer a week ago for a 1299 and I am finding the electric throttle a bit of a let down. It feels somewhat numb, sloppy and not very connected.

RickD996:
Did you install the JetPrime? How was it? Any free play? Does it feel more "connected" than the OEM? Is the action quicker compared to OEM? Do you need to put any more effort when twisting the throttle compared to OEM?

Everyone else:
If anyone has the Domino throttle, could you be so kind to give your feedback for the above questions?

Thanks!!
