Cool . I used to race a Gas Gas 300 it was really nimble and a great single track weapon .

Hope you heal quickly and don't let that "slice" get infected. I had a KTM 690 super motard. I used to ride it at Jennings GP. It was a single thumper and I was always blowing the head gasket from over rev. It was a ton of fun. But you're right to buy a bike like that KTM 500 because on a slick wet dirt/muddy/asphalt track, with the right tires, you will become a flat tracker. Just be careful! (Sorry, I sound like my mom). Every time some really good road racer decides to train on the dirt, he breaks something thinking he can ride like Jeremy McGrath. Hope your hand gets better. Peace.

I was gonna say KTM first but pics looked more red to me. I'm looking at picking up the KTM 500 or the Husqvarna 501 (I know they have the same motor) next April. How do you like it?

Still early days as my hand has prevented riding it but the first time out the bike felt incredible .
My older EXC bikes were always at the suspension guy straight away being re valved but this feels awesome the bike feels super light .

Thanks man . Number one thing has been preventing infection I'm usually a "she we be right guy " but this is a pretty deep cut .
My background before road bikes was dirt so flat tracking was always a favourite .
