The Pani just stopped dead today !!

had 12 month service 6 weeks ago, this is the second ride out since then and at 108 miles approaching traffic lights it died ! dead....got power dash lights up, no errors , its got fuel, its not hot , all fuses are ok..turns over but does not crank over....6 hrs later I am at home and waiting for recovery to ducati dealer tommorow....anyone got any ideas....

Oh and advised by closest dealer to where i broke down " we cannot look at your bike for 5 weeks , better get it dropped somewhere else "..nice service ! NOT ! thanks OYB ......piss poor customer service .

Anyway idea's why ! what this is !

Air, fuel, compression, and spark. These are the elements required to make engines go. You've likely lost item two or four. Spark is easiest to check. You say you have fuel...how do you know? Are you just listening for the pump, or have you seen it leave an injector?

As to their five week nonsense...this is a warranty issue. Put it into their shop and advise them that you're investigating your State's lemon law....most States have one. Often they include a clause for how much time a new vehicle might spend in the possession of your dealer before you can invoke that law based strictly on time. After some amount of time they simply have to reimburse you for the purchase price. Also contact DNA and advise them that of what you've been told. Most customer conscious dealerships will shove warranty work to the front of the line, not the back.

You were approaching some traffic lights, so you were off the gas?

It could be as simple as a bad plug.

In the old days that was really simple (and I was around then - took auto mechanics in high school in the late '60's).

Today there is only one thing that stops a vehicle from starting...the ECU. It controls all the rest. And yes, I know...I'm just having a little fun, but not all that far from the truth.

This has happened to me several times as I approached stop signs. The bike did restart approx 30 sec to 1 minute later.. I agree that this could be a ECU issue. Either way, it happened during the first 1500 miles. There is 3500 miles on it now and hasn't happened since.....

Hii Legion,

You have to pull up the fueltank. There is a fueltube that click into the tank. Probebly thats get off...
The color off the click system is white... Click it back in and the problem is solved...

I have had the Same problem...

Succes...
