Then that means your brake system wasn't setup or operating correctly (or dealer didn't bleed/deliver the system as it should).
Exactly. raining on the parade i imagine, but the shape DP and stock levers are very very close. The DP ones have a linkage which gives some play in the vertical direction that actually works AGAINST more efficient braking vs straight radial pressure. I think the DP ones are even heavier than stock :=). At least the lightech ones are made of magnesium. . .
But interesting enough if you could blindfold most people to ride a bike, I doubt that anyone could tell the difference in brake feel between the DP levers and the stock ones
.. . It's like saying I put on a carbon shock protector and wow the Ohlins shock work so much better now, different feel, different spring rates, et al.. ..
Now, could some people perhaps tell the changes between a stock lever and the DP lever ? Possibly, but you're probably talking extreme races under absolute ridiculous braking that can tell the difference between a cast lever and a billet one.. .
The real differences are changes in MC, calipers, and rotors. You'll get large variations in feel/response/performance in those changes but on the Panigale, that is a pretty large undertaking because you can't change one without the other unlike previous (and most other) bikes (the m50 is mated to the 1199 MC).
