Thanks zaster.
I don't care much to break "my" dealerships balls anymore. Its simply the bikes in and of themselves that are the problem.
Have a good one
Dude... Sell the bike already and get out of here. Seriously...
I can provide to you SEVERAL cases where the bike is absolutely great. Yes, there are issues out there. Hell, even the sewing machine Japanese have had their share of issues and they are even larger as they produce in such a higher degree... I am pretty sure a guy like you cannot be satisfied and obviously are not mechanically inclined and doesn't understand that these things are what they are.
We've ran our 1199 along with at least a dozen of other guys that race or track day their 1199s and not a single issue. Knock on wood...
We have mine in the shop right now just to simply ..... a year on the bike. The tech wants to evaluate the bearing wear and such. Yes, we had a little seeping out of the valve covers, but understand that this is something I have experienced with my Hondas, Kaws and yes my GSXRs. It's common and in a race environment, it happens more frequently.
The bike has been put through some serious paces and again... I can use a few other higher level racers that have a full season thus far and same or similar results. Wear internally has been amazing. We saw nothing of concern other than the possibility that I need to start using a heavier weight oil for start up wear prevention. Cold start wear essentially...
But, the bike has shown me that it is up to par with the japanese machines I've raced and more dependable than the last twin I raced...
Point is this. You hate the bike. I get it. You F-Bomb the company that makes it. I get that also. You are just simply a guy that I think has checked out at the beginning and either could barely afford this thing and feels that the experience needs to be better or you just are a tough guy to please and most likely shouldn't own motorcycles...
Buy an HD and let me know how that turns out...
Just remove yourself from the brand. It will be better overall. Get the bike fixed, advertise it to sell it and walk away. Until she sells, though... Save us all the bitching and just step away from the forums. It just comes across as being a little baby and sounds ignorant.
You have a valid issue and probably would have got a lot of sympathy had you approached this much better...
