Lorenzo’s crew to remain at Yamaha
Only one member of Jorge Lorenzo’s current crew will make the move to Ducati with him in 2017.

Finding a team of mechanics and technicians who work well together can be as important as the bike a rider is on. In recent years more and more riders have been changing teams and taking their crew chief or mechanics with them, this will not be the case when Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) makes the move to Ducati in 2017, reports motorsport.com.

Lorenzo’s current crew chief Ramon Forcada was approached by Ducati, but has chosen to stay in Yamaha to work with Maverick Viñales. Long time mechanic Juan Llansa will make the step over to Ducati with Lorenzo, the pair having worked together since Lorenzo made his debut in 2003. There is as yet no word as to who Lorenzo’s crew chief at Ducati will be.

I don't blame them. I can only imagine how horrible it is to work with that little punk... Haha!

I was not surprised by this announcement, I can't imagine him being very easy to work with. That ought to make his transition over to Ducati that much harder. The new guys will have to learn to interpret and rate his various pouts, grimace's and pissy behavior, into a feedback scale.

rumor is the reason marquez stayed put as he was approached by ducati and yamaha was because he wanted to bring his entire team

i love the speculation his pouts etc none of us here know how any of these guys are when those doors are shut.
im sure rossi is a dream to work with since he hasnt won a thing since 09. why cant i beat marquez why is he faster than me.

im pretty sure jorge team was satisfied with the 2015 championship coming from so far back. i bet they were ok with some facial expressions as well

Well you can speculate that his crew have no real desire to move if only one person is doing so and that sets up a number of possibilities either
* Difficult to work for/they don't like him
* Ducati think their tech's are better and don't want them.
* Might be IP rights involved and there is a huge lead time between leaving Yamaha and joining a direct competitor.

Either way there are a bunch of options not limited to the above.

As to the MM and Stoner discussion I don't get what this has to do with the original post as Stoner does not race and MM is clearly happy.

first come first serve. im sure you can spare the cost of motogp feed for one season its like 130 bucks. where are all of you and your confidence in your hero.

this is much like football or baseball. you are the defending champ until somebody beats you. so that photo i posted fits. until the end of this years season or if a champion is crowned earlier lorenzo is the champ. i know you dont like it thats fine but it is what it is. jorge is the 2015 motogp champion. did rossi win a race sure is he the champ no jorge is.
after this year i cant use that photo anymore unless of course lorenzo wins.

absolutely it's for the rider to drive the discussions on the bike and relate the feed back to the team.

I would imagine all riders can be difficult to work with but it's the team that make the rider and visa versa.

I think it will be interesting on how Lorenzo develops the bike going forward as we all know the Ducati has the power and it looks close to being very competitive, maybe Lorenzo can add that 5%.

bottom line is this these guys are the best of the best at what they do and living on the edge all the time things will get emotional and high strung. i am sure there is some yelling some whining etc and i am sure its all of the guys not just 1.

i just think the guy is very over rated and is nothing but hype and i like to spread the facts about it. then you have his drone fans that no matter what evidence you provide it doesnt matter. how long you been a rossi fan timwu12? do you know rossi personally sabotaged stoner to not go to yamaha becauserossi couldnt have attention away from him it will happen to maverick too. do you know rossi left yamaha because he couldnt accept being number 2 to jlo. do you know rossi going back to yamaha was brokered by motogp? those are just a few things. do you know rossi threatened to quit if he didnt get the tires he wanted and the ceo of the series gave into him . he didnt get his team the tires he got himself the tires. the rest of the grid all ran the same tires except rossi. did you know that?

i have no problems with motogp fans that rossi is their favorite racer. i have problems with the drones booing MM and JLO or whomever and say when he goes they arent watching anymore. those are the ones you cant argue with.

take away his his titles on the honda thats 5 of them . anybody with a pulse would have won on those bikes and the advantages rossi had and how many gp titles would he have answer 2.

I like rossi as a racer; he brings a lot of humor and charisma to the races, but I'm definitely under no illusion that he's the best and the fastest on the grid. I know there are definitely faster racers on the grid with him

i think he is also an icon and made the sport very well know, however do i think he doesnt understand english and doesnt know exactly what he means and says absolutely not . will i root for him never. do i wish him harm NO. i know i have said i was happy when he crashed at cota (i was there) to clear that up i was happy to see all the boppers leave almost crying so soon and have nothing to say. . i heard it from the boppers all weekend as i had MM gear (all in good fun though)
do i want his engine to blow up no, i prefer to see him lose fair and square.
