I got these riser clip-ons on my street V4S. Makes the bike way more comfortable to ride. These risers + adjustable rearsets with footpeg position set to lowest position should help a bit

Do you know if this fits 2022 V4? What year is your bike? This seems like exactly what I need. Did you install yourself or dealer? Did you have to cut the front fairing? In the end how many inches higher are your clipons Vs Stock? Sorry for the 100 questions but this part might help me finally enjoy my bike!

You should sell your v4 immediately before you can no longer walk.

Send me pics and cash price.

I will sell it for 5000bucks

Now i found out that I need a chiropractor. I was doing squats and thrusters ass to the ground with light weights and my back started to hurt again. Exact same location as when i ride the bike so nothing to see with the position on the bike

My V2 kills my back when casually riding on the street. I have no issues when riding hard on the street (not a lot of opportunity for that). I have no issues when riding on the track. Some people can ride a Panigale on the street with no back or wrist pain, but these bikes were not really designed with casual street riding in mind. That is one reason Ducati makes the Supersport and other bikes like the Multistrada. No offense intended, but when I see posts about people having pain (or being burnt) after riding a Panigale on the street I have to roll my eyes (and assume you didn't research before purchasing). It's a Panigale, not a 1999 CBR 600F4 (couch seat and Cadillac suspension).

Choices as I see it:
  • Try to improve your health, if you can
  • Make your street rides shorter with more breaks (curvy roads and more speed help save wrists and backs)
  • Get a different bike for casual riding (like the cafe racer in my avitar)
Good luck.

Oddly I had no pain when I was just running to exercise

Now that I'm trying to crush endo like numbers on deadlifts etc i get the occasional ache/pain

Thats why i stopped deadlifting during bike season because even on the harley i started to have lumbar pain after 1hr ish drive. A bit than 1 month without deadlift and this pain disappeared. With the panigale it s different because last year i had no pain while driving it and it sporadically appeared this yer. I changed the bed it went away and then came back again

When you guys talk of deadlift, what kind of numbers are we talking here? As a young guy, I had some decent numbers, but now it's light and mostly fitness and maintenance. I don't feel you have to go heavy to strengthen your lower back and core.

I go gradually to 125kg x6 in 5 sets after my grip doesnt follow

I'm having a pretty serious midlife crisis... I remember what I used to do and want to get somewhere back to it while I still can.

170 kg for reps.

Probably 50% of my motivation to start lifting again can be traced to when I dropped my 20 v4s in my garage and for whatever reason needed help picking it back up.

Neither of those weights are light depending on your sizes and ages.

I trained with a Strongman competitor in my early 30's. (I'm short so) my deadlift was 460lbs x 2, 315lbs x 10 for 4-5 sets was a normal workout. 25 years later, I'm repping 225 lbs on a good day. I didn't have back pain when I was lifting heavy. As an old man, I have some back pain depending on how I'm training/sleeping/moving through the day. I have found that a lot of stretching and moderate squat, deadlift, and hyperextensions keep my back pretty pain-free. For reference, I ride fairly aggressive sportbikes mostly.

Yeah, mobility is pretty fundamental ... I'm more flexible now than I was 20 years ago (I've never been super flexible so that's not saying much). I spend probably as much or more time stretching/warming up than I do actually lifting.

I'll work up to 315lbs occasionally, but that's typically a double with wraps. I hate alternate and hook grip, and as mentioned before sumo is for ......

Lately I'll work up to 275lbs which I do as an AMRAP set with wraps. If I get to 295lbs or so I like to add a belt.

Remember that back, legs, abs, hips are all tied together. A deficiency in one area will affect all the rest. In addition to deadlifts, I do heavy and light leg workouts, olympic lifts, sprints on the weekends, and stretch all of that 4 or 5 days a week. I work my abs and try to be aware throughout the day to engage them to take pressure off my back. All of that has really helped keep me in shape. I think you are on the right road of seeking some kind of medical advice and consultation to figure out how to go forward. Hope this helps.

Yes I went to the chiropractor this week and since I wanted to see if it was worth ut, I went out on a ride with the v4s the same evening. I had some discomfort after driving 1h30 but then it was between 10 and 6 degrees outside.

"Some" discomfort after an hour and a half is pretty good I would say. It is a continual process of self evaluation and trying to learn more. Stay frosty min venn og likke til!
