I have a 19 V4S

recently, I followed advice of some forum experts, and lowered the forks 3 mm (less fork showing) raised the front of the bike

i am happy to say, it totally transformed the bike in a good way

now the front feels a lot more planted, better mid corner grip

turn in requires, a bit more effort, but nothing important, and bike still change direction very fast.

the question is, should I lower the forks even more, for ever Even more mid corner grip?

or are they any geometry disadvantages of raising the bike too much up front?

sorry for the stupid question, just want to check in with people that know way more than me.

thanks

Try it, and you will find the answer for yourself!

You can also try adding fork preload, it will have a similar effect as lowering the forks through the clamps.

I have my forks flush with the top yoke (although mine is the R)

You can also play around with shock length if you don't want to raise the centre of gravity too high. Higher centre of gravity will give more mid corner stability, but harder to flick the bike from side to side.

I had my forks flush with the yokes. I also took some preload out of the rear shock, and I loved it.

However in my case I have changed tyres from supercorsa sp to rosso corsa 2. So I needed to push the forks about 3mm through the yokes.

2019 V4S as well.

Why did the tire change necessitate reducing front end height?
