Don't be changing anything else before you sort what you have. I agree it's a winter thing and since it's summer...

With the mods already done to the OP's bike, I'd say it is worth doing. It's not that expensive and you can always sell the parts if you trade up or don't like it (unlikely).I’d try to avoid the pivot swap at all costs. If it were me I’d just pick up a used base 22 V4 or R

For the record, the fairings aren't ......, but they are Chinese and not the genuine Ducati he claimed them to be.![]()
Since when has a Ducati dealership ever solved a problem?
I stand corrected. Apologies.

I'm missing something here. If you do a lot of track time and toss it away from time to time would you not have Chinese fairings? That Ducati stuff is expensive.
I’m living on the edge running the stock fairings. And I ride the bike on the street.
I also don’t ride trackdays at 10/10ths. I go there to ride comfortably safe at a decent pace to try to learn good bike control. Unlike Bautista wannabes with replica liveries that are chasing times and barging through the field like a knob.
In their defense, the dealership did sort out my fork debacle tout suite when I brought it to their attention. But I’d agree, I don’t look forward to getting service done by a dealership due to the quality of the work done and price. You just feel like you’re getting raked over the coals when you go there.
Are there any bike brands where service is better?
Wait you let other people work on your bike? I don't trust nobody else's work. Andy said somewhere that he spun a bearing and ventilated the case. Bearings spin for primarily two reasons; lubrication failures or rod big end stretch (they get pulled into an oval). Careful assembly will negate that kind of stuff. So now I'm tempted to check the bottom end since the bike is mostly apart anyway. Can't trust the factory either. Maybe I'll just take the oil pump out and blueprint it.
It was a warranty issue so I had to work with the dealer…
Not sure about spinning bearings and how it’s relevant to this thread![]()

We were talking about trusting others work.
