Marchesini Magnesium wheels or BST Carbon wheels?

I have the BST wheels on my Panigale and I love them, looks and ability they are great. NOW, would i do it all over again...? prolly not, to spend $3,500 when i could have got mag wheels for less and the weight difference is not noticeable. But, since i have them now, I love them. And going from the base wheels to these, huge difference, you will re-learn how to ride the bike.

When I first put BST's on a track bike, I literally almost went off the inside of the 1st turn because my normal amount of bar input to get the bike to turn was so much more than was required. It's a huge difference to drop 8-12 lbs. off the wheels on your bike.

I had two friends swap bikes, one was on a S1000rr and the other a panigale with carbon rims.... Needless to say, the video says it all, the S1000rr rider didnt understand the turning with the carbon rims, chopped the corner and crashed the bike. Its takes some re-learning for sure, cant just go out and ride the way you are used to right off the bat

I'm starting to play with the idea myself now. I have the S wheels on my 1299 but am thinking about going with the RotoBox Boost wheels. I tried researching the weight difference between the two but I find several different weights for the S wheels so I'm not sure how much of a benefit they are.

I have the magnesium ones but have not put them on yet. Will post up what I think when I do.

You have forged S wheels so won't be amazingly different. Sort of like when I went from forged s wheels to CF on my 1098, it felt a bit different but not much.

But then I put the CF wheels onto my 1200 multistrada to ride to Phillip Island and wholly ....!!

I have the BST's on an S model as well. It made a noticeable difference IMO. Enough that I even had to adjust the suspension settings.

I debated this for a while for myself but ended up painting the factory forged aluminums - worry-free durability was very important to me.

Gold; I'd show a picture once I figure out how to insert a photo here......it's a jpg file that's too big.
