Thanks, it was that or black. I wanted something a little different; I already have two Panigales with black wheels. Red is a little too over the top for me; kind of like wearing red socks!

i spoke to wheel "guru" you guys may know better but he said the CF wheels are far Superior than mag wheels. he said most race teams only use mag wheels for one season. they have a shelf life.
i dont know one way or the other all i know is this:
bst are ugly as sin unless you get the SL wheel or the new one that looks almost identicle to the sl wheel which comes out in feb.
rotobox boost look fantastic.
for the money the stock S wheels are hard to beat. they are almost as light as the ugly original bst.

BST's - Front 5.48lbs, Rear 5.97lbs
Marchesini 10 Spoke Magnesium - Front 6.25lbs, Rear 6.95lbs
Panigale S Marchesini's - Front 6.92lbs, Rear 8.16lbs
Panigale Base model - Front 9.05lbs, Rear 12lbs
Going from S model wheels to BST's was noticeable as soon as I left the parking lot. I can only imagine what it would be like coming off of base wheels. Rotating mass is no joke.

Just got a set of the Boost wheels in today for my 1299 so I put them on the scale. front wheel has a ceramic bearing in it but other then that these are fresh out of the box.
Front wheel 2565 grams 5.65 LBS
Rear wheel 2973 grams 6.55 LBS
I will weigh my S wheels in the same condition when I swap them out later today.

The mounting has to be done pretty carefully with the carbons.....
