Hello All, First post and I'm new to Ducati ownership. I have an 2015 1299S and just bought it Sept/2020 with 5300 miles on it. I love this rocket! I plan on doing my own maintenance and have been searching for a solution to interface with the ECU. Mainly to do oil service resets and maybe other resets(I'm learning from reading these different forum topic). It appears that MelcoDiag is the way to go with a lot of people. I have a really old Window based laptop that is running XP...is that suitable to for the download/program from MelcoDiag? I am assuming I will have to purchase a new(cheap) Windows computer, right? I have an older MacBook, I'm supposing that there is no downloading from MelcoDiag to it, correct? Any other suggestions are welcomed.

Tuneboy is another option for you.

Is it?...I thought I read several posts that the Tuneboy had issues interfacing with the 1299 S ECU. Anyway, I will go the Tuneboy website and see what they offer. Thanks for the response.

I bought it and flashed my 17 1299s - I'll be honest I haven't delved into its full potential yet as lack of expertise would result in doing more harm than good. But I have read from people who know what they're talking about it has loads of potential. The thing that turns most people off is non-existent customer support as Wayne is a one-man operation for the most part.

Any news about service reminder resetting with melco. Nothing on jpdiag forum anyway.

No. It seems like it has all gone silent. I've told the developer I would scan whatever is required to help him get the reset working and had a bit of back and forth and then he went silent about 6 months ago.

It’s been a long time to visit back. finally I have downloaded the program and email sent to get a license.

looking forward to tomorrow when I get the licens, and trying to clear annual service light

btw, the unit was warning me about uMap being compromised, wondering if anyone has that warning, if so does need to be regarded ?
