Been watching the Moto America race from Road Atlanta today.

Kind of a bummer that there are no Ducati's this year. I seem to remember 1 or 2 from last year.

What series does Leon race in?

I race WERA and I'm not racing MA. For 1,you need money. 2, you need a team. 3, I'm very sure at this point I'm not fast enough to be remotely competitive. There are lots of young talented riders out there that would be great on a Panigale with the right backing. Also, Suzuki and Yamaha are the only factory supported teams, so unless another manufacturer is going to really invest in the series, is it really worth it? I bet Canepa on a Panigale would decimate the field easily. But what would that prove....

Thanks for the reply Leon.

Will have to check the WERA schedule and see when the next race will be close to me.

I am part of a team that raced MotoAmerica last year and the costs for running a team are high especially when you don't have factory support so a Ducati is probably close to $10k more expensive per bike than a similar R1 straight out of the box before you start developing the bike so that's probably the main reason.

I believe Corey Alexander will be out there next round on an 1199R, HV Motorcycles is building the two bikes right now.
