MM wouldn’t be doing as good if the riders in the first few places weren’t so crash prone lately. The last couple of races he was coming from the 5th row to get a podium, largely based on early retirements by other riders.

Pecco wouldn't have won 2023 if not for Martin crashes, meaning Pecco is no good?

Another .... post from panibadboy. Color me surprised.

More consistent riders who preform well are champions. I'm not shitting on MM, but the misfortune of others are benefiting him, especially in respect to the last few races.

His poor qualifying is likely a result of having to take tows around the track while he was on a .... bike. If he improves that, and I hope he will, I can see him rising up.

? Seemed pretty brilliant from factory Ducati. Martin just didn’t have it on an equal bike and the difference in bikes was too much for MM. maybe go watch some F1 if you want to know what boring and upsetting is

you sure you watched the race at all instead of ....... at pornhub ?

its like f1 monaco but without crashes - all but last 3 laps - full autopilot.

Ducati st mugello has more lap data than we can ever imagine…, now turn that one up a bit … turn that one down and give that one more too… easily done!

Before Mugello, they were saying he made up 45 places in 4 races. Are you asserting most of those positions were gained through attrition and not through on track passing? If not, it doesn’t seem fair to say it was “largely” based on retirements.

Having a poor qualifying session places him in a row with slower riders who aren’t a match for his speed. Getting out of those mid pack positions isn’t surprising for a rider of his skill. Actually getting to the podium gets much easier from 6th when rider occupying those positions keep crashing out.

Martin to factory Aprilia. Would be a coup for Aprilia and a slap in the face from Martin to Ducati Corse for passing him over for Bastianini. He's best friends with Aleix and the Aprilia is more than capable of winning races. Also, if he goes to Corse he'll play second fiddle to Pecco. And if Martin goes to Aprilia, he'll be the favored rider since Vinales hasn't really consistently proven himself.
