Pecco rolls so fast under that bike. Bodies can only handle so much trauma, acute or accumulated, and I’ll bet that one costs him results for some period into the future. MotoGP, like most smarmy high profile activities, requires no responsibility from its elite, or AM would be out for at least a race or two. His judgement was so bad he drove his motorcycle over the top of another person. Given the politics involved, I wouldn’t be surprised if he did it on purpose. There would be nothing wrong with just removing him from MotoGP.

I say they need to remove toxic VR46 team. Clearly vale keeps brainwashing young people and creates hatred on MotoGP field

Lol, how long have you followed the sport?

Good show today by MM, dont think he has a realistic shot at the title unless conditions really favor his skills, the GP25 and Pecco/Martin combo is just too strong all other things being equal. There is a chance though!

I also think this is why Gigi picked him, mental strength. JM is fast, probably the fastest in the paddock when conditions suit but speed is only one element in a championship bid, Pecco has brains, balls and speed plus real factory support so I am picking PB for the title at this stage JM second and MM third.

Marc bid for 24's championship only depends on what Ducati upgrades on his GP23 bike.

Fighting GP24 is unreal without those.

Off and on for 15 years. Mostly on. I didn't get the MotoGP channel the last two seasons. I was a bit under the weather. I would never expect "the professionals" to actually do anything fair. I'm way past that. I'm just saying they could, but they only exist to serve the powers that be, so fine. Remember when Rossi and Mark were mixing it up a bit and instead of giving them both a warning or even a small penalty to Mark, they instead choose to have Rossi start at the back of the grid, actually costing him championship #10. I also don't think Rossi should have been about to go dirt biking around Stoner at Laguna. So, I'm not just a Rossi fan boy. Just calling it like I see it. Final decision 90/10 AM/PB,
 
Saying AM and PB were both at fault is pointing out the obvious. That’s why it was ruled as a racing incident. Assigning percentages to it is completely arbitrary unless you’ve actually interviewed and spoken to the riders.

It's good to see MM back in winning form. PB played it super smart. There was little value in pushing given the gift he had been given with JM pitting in.

In hindsight to my previous post, Pecco said in post race interviews he tried to follow MM but he was at a much faster pace. Getting rolled under a bike the weekend prior could have had an effect, but for sure, just take the second place and still recover a lot of points.

I feel bad for JM. He is probably one of the fastest riders ever, but I suspect the people around him may not be giving the best guidance. I feel he's just not in with a group that knows how to manage a rider that fast.

Experience at Misano gave PB the edge; he said in an interview that while it was raining, it didn't smell like heavy rain and which is why he didn't swap.
 
commentators said his tire pressure for the sprint was set higher because they expected him to be leading... they thought ducati would split the difference for the main race, but I guess not.

Exactly and this is why this becomes interesting.

If Marc can consistently be in front of Pecco at starts, he has all chances scoring more points than him.

Seems like Yamaha is jumping on the V4 bandwagon. Shame that they can’t get the cross plane I4 to work any more. It was nice to have variety. But with all the aero and ride height chicanery, the formula seems to require a specific engine type. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em… They’ll be able to develop through the engine freeze due to concessions. If I were Yamaha I’d also develop a proof of concept 850 cc I4 to A-B test. The 27+ bikes are going away from aero and ride height so maybe the I4 might be better under those circumstances. They’ll be more reliant on corner speeds which is the I4’s advantage.
