Kevin1199 how did the Akra system feel and perform compared to the stock exhaust? Is it better with more torque and hwp? The Akra looks badass and love the sound?

You can feel the difference for sure, alot note midrange, ya over what the 1299 already has... it pulls harder and faster the sound is intoxivating. Also the blue pipes just add to it. Compared to the stock, more power and torque, very noticiable, better sound, very happy with it

It's not necessary to monitor the leading angle all the time. When you stop you can see how many degrees reached by calling the lap

Hey Leon, off the subject but wasn't it you that showed me that 90deg adapter you installed for easier oil changes?

I know my answer is not pertinent to the 1299 as I do not have one but, when I went from an OEM exhaust to the full Akra on my 1199; the only thing I noticed was the difference in sound. Louder. A little at idle but a lot more at higher revs.

Before and after dyno for me was a difference of 7 hp but that was also with a MWR SBK filter thrown in and some TB tuning.

Yes it looks badass. Yes you will love the sound. Get your earplugs ready and as a bonus you will take off quite a few kilograms over stock.

a local tuner told me that he had it on good authority that the stock 1299 pipes are the same dimensions as the Akrapovic system; just made more cheaply (heavier steel).

So it's all in the slip-ons in opening up exhaust flow. The header pipes just save weight.

Don't forget the bloody great flapper valve.
