My 2022 Ducati Panigale V4S is Finally Ready for the Track

I doubt it’s the gear position sensor, I’ve had one go bad it it shut down the whole system. I suspect that it’s wiring somewhere, after this track weekend I’ll have to break down the bike and check every connection.

Could be that the BSD resistors that we put in to mimic the electronically controlled shock and forks that we upgraded are not functioning or provisioned right.

We cleared the turn signal codes, but the other ones are active codes that can’t be cleared until we find and resolve the source problem

You would be getting errors directly attributed to DES if that were the case.

I had a BBS U0301 error when I flashed my bike but Daniel got it sorted very quickly. It was something about software version and compatibility being different between EU and US bikes. I would bet all of the BBS errors are related to that.

I'm guessing your service people flashed it as kind of a normal hook it up and flash it to the latest and greatest version as part of a standard service procedure. They should be able to roll it back with the dealer tool.

Meh, sounds painful. I had a Ducati sidestand eliminator fail, does happen. Have you got the shock still? Maybe worth plugging it back in?

The rear shock and front fork carts are already changed to the FKR 108 carts and TTX GP rear shock with BSD resistors.

Yeah I was thinking maybe something with Woolich is off, they may have reflashed it and in doing turned off the stuff we had setup in the Woolich, will connect the computer to the bike later today and reflags all the Woolich stuff back onto it and see if that corrects it.

Lol. I'm not suggesting that you uninstall your suspension, and refute all the old kit. Just unplug the BSD dongle. And plug the old shock in. The shock doesn't need to be fitted to the bike, just plug it back into the loom.

Doing this, would allow you to eliminate the possibility of the BSD dongles having failed.

This might clarify..what you need dont need on a 22!

@andyb and @randomwalker BIG thank you for exchanging your thoughts for How to install DDA!

Especially your pictures helped me a lot to figure out and verify which additional parts I need to also revise my complete DDA installment handy all in the tail section of my ‘18 PV4s.
This since Ducati has revised the DDA setup with a more convenient combo-bracket (8291I791AA), some time ago.

This revised combo DDA setup is imho a much better setup than the original setup I’m having installed with only the GNSS/GPS receiver in its tail and the red CAN-USB Data-stick seperate hidden away under the seat (connected to the (primary) DDS3.0 CAN-connector), which is a bloody nuisance to quickly access and remove it.

Hereby for others who want this too, I share the differences and additional parts you need to convert the DDA to the revised setup with all components now in the tail-section:

1) Original setup for (P)V4 DDA-ISTR0947-Schema 2018:

2) New setup for (P)V4 DDA-ISTR1036-Schema 2024:

3) Comparison of (changed) parts (aka 'Positions') between both setups DDA-ISTR0947_vs_ISTR1036-Changes:

4) Position numbers and prices for DDA-ISTR1036-PartNoPrices2024:

I just re-installed the DDA and GNSS receiver as improved setup both under the V4S its tail. fits perfectly.
Indeed only the 4 additional parts marked in yellow as Y(es) under 'Changed?' in my previous post are needed to revise the old initial DDA installation to this current one:

To prevent the red 16MB DDA dongle sucking my battery dry over time, I disconnected it again from its connector, just left it in its new holder and used innertube as wrapping to protect both against moisture:

FYI an additional benefit of this revised DDA setup:
Even though the additional wiring-loom (10) is specifically marked as 'DDA-only', I can also connect my OBDLink to this connector for CANbus diagnostics!
Works great and this way much easier accessible then the same 'DDS3.0' connector under the seat meant for dealer-diagnostics. great.

Nice weekend to y'all!
