My 2022 Ducati Panigale V4S is Finally Ready for the Track

Thanks, I bought the GPS timer. Its legit! You only have to hit the start button the very first time...after that it does everything by itself. My dash says I was going faster than 180 but who knows. Also, the lean angle does not take into consideration how banked the turn is. On my V2 I hit 60 degrees of lean at Streets of willow in California. There is a turn that is so cambered they call it a bowl. I am guessing that this is where 60deg was possible on that bike.
The Yaw is the alignment between front and back wheels, hence backing it in! Super fun. I thought it was worth the upgrade.

So I tried this for the first time at ECR last week. It seems you have to hit the high beam to start the lap timer, once for each session, right? Because if you go back to the pit and turn off the bike to wait for the next session, everything shuts down. Then, in the next session, when you cross the start/finish line in your out lap, you have to hit the high beam again to get the lap time rolling. Is that what you do? Or can you start the lap timer each time you start the bike at the paddock before you enter the track?

With mine, you set the start/finish and intermediate sectors once, and it automatically starts when you exit pitlane for every subsequent session at that track (as long as you don't overwrite the set points at another circuit)

No, once it's set you are good until you leave the track, or reset it at a different star/finish point.

Hmm! That's what I thought should happen. But when I went by the start/finish line on my out lap in the 2nd session (after I set the start/finish line in the first full lap of the 1st session by flashing the high-beam), the lap timer did not start. Wonder what I'm doing wrong. Will try again when I get back to the track.

How do you set the intermediate sectors?

Grazie! "Upon each key-on, when the LAP function is activated..." Are you doing anything special to "activate" the LAP function, or is it just a matter of waiting for the GPS symbol to stop flashing, showing that it has acquired the GPS signal?

yeah it’s always on, nothing u do. wait for gps to stop flashing, if u see checkered flag, that means it knows the start finish.

Sounds stupid, but ensure the lap timer function is turned on in the menu system.

How do you set the intermediate sectors?

Set the start/finish, by single press of flash/high beam button.
At first intermediate (i1), after start/finish, press and hold flash button until the '1' (in a box) flashes under the chequered flag (start/finish) icon on the dash.
First intermediate now set.
The next time you press and hold the flash button, i2 will be set.
The points can be overwritten by following the same process.

That worked perfectly. Thanks.

When I was riding COTA. I hit the flash the very first time and never had to touch it again. Even months later when I went back, the bike would know.
…that was my experience.
Have not been on any other tracks or on the street with my V4.

What levels do you set Traction Control? I'm in map Race A and TC is at 3. Wondering where the faster guys set their TC.

I'm on TC1 or 2. But, I also have DSC1 on. I didn't know that could be turned off, and haven't tried it without. Maybe with DSC off, might want more TC.

Good to know. I would've thought TC4 would be too intrusive on corner exit but clearly that's not the case given your lap times at COTA.

.... sorry!
This is what happens when I jump on the forum while I am at work. Lol
Correction! I left all the parameters alone on Race mode A. The only thing I bumped up was the DWC. I set that to 4 because damn. This thing is such a beast. I have race exhaust and -1 on the CS sprocket.
Traction control I left alone. I think it’s 3.
