My 2022 Ducati Panigale V4S is Finally Ready for the Track

I run Engine Brake at 3, Skid Control, Wheelie Control, Traction Control all at 1.

Wheelie control at 3 or 4 cuts too much power, but I also have my sprocket teeth at +1 from stock, and the Pierobon extended swingarm to mechanically help with wheelie without as much electronic intervention.

Not sure what you mean Rick.

So is what you're saying DTC is a function of DSC? That kinda makes logical sense in my mind but then why are they set independently?

What does DWC have anything to do with this? I have DWC set to 1 and my bikes wheelie quite frequently.

Had too much chocolate ice cream and antihistamines in me last night and stayed up reading all the setting and their meaning in the manual, a little insight.

Corner entry slide control - Part of ABS Setting 2, allows application of the rear brake when the front brake is loaded and the ABS lets the rear step out (I would assume "backing it in" style), if it exceeds a certain amount of yaw the system will realign the wheels.

DTC - Controls the amount of yaw while at lean angles, pretty straightforward stuff there

DSC - 2 levels or yaw while accelerating out of a corner, I would "assume" this allows power slides up to a certain angle while the bike is more upright and with stronger throttle inputs than you would do mid-corner. They basically broke the traction control system into two parts which is pretty cool.

DWC - Usual wheelie control from making it never lift, to controlling how fast it lifts, to no control. And like you @Alkhater I have been looking skyward quite often on this baby.

Really? That’s crazy - even with stock gearing my bike wheelies routinely through first and second, and occasionally in third with dwc on 1.

I think a lot's to do with bike setup. My bike is quite low at the back. Sounds counterintuitive, but works for me. And I guess the rear ride height devices on the GP bikes do the same thing.
My bikes both have the post 22 swingarm position

@randomwalker this is good information and thanks for sharing. I'll be adding the DDA_+ with GPS to my 1199 this spring and testing the same (and will likely run into the same issues).

Rick I have a 16 tooth front sprocket, stock tooth count, and plus one tooth rear sprocket

Just slightly taller than stock

So very basic understanding of modern ECU management is that it works off of a torque delivery model. There is torque requested, that is the input demanded by the rider and maybe even torque availability which is what the bike thinks it can give. Then there is fast torque, DTC, and slow torque, DWC, values which all play off of each other. I'm just getting into this stuff on a more technical level but find it pretty interesting.

On this subject, weirdly after I changed my sprockets I started getting my DTC, DSC, and DWC flashing, meaning degraded function.

And these error codes, none of which make sense to me:

Turn signals I get, but the other ones?

I bought my bike with the racing exhaust, so no exhaust potentiometer should be an issue.

Sounds obvious, but I'd try and clear them, then see what happens.

Also, could be a part of the wiring loom has become damaged?

its a complicated thing and my thoughts are that its linked in to the Guessometer.... which several have got set to level 8... ;-)

I doubt it’s the gear position sensor, I’ve had one go bad it it shut down the whole system. I suspect that it’s wiring somewhere, after this track weekend I’ll have to break down the bike and check every connection.

Could be that the BSD resistors that we put in to mimic the electronically controlled shock and forks that we upgraded are not functioning or provisioned right.

We cleared the turn signal codes, but the other ones are active codes that can’t be cleared until we find and resolve the source problem

Meh, sounds painful. I had a Ducati sidestand eliminator fail, does happen. Have you got the shock still? Maybe worth plugging it back in?
