If you like beef, you owe yourself a visit to Blacks BBQ in nearby Lockhart. The ribs are brontosaurus size, the meat slides off the bone, and melts in your mouth. Unbelievably good. Yes, meat is murder, but tasty, tasty murder.

Black's was great!

I haven't made it to COTA yet, probably next year. I'm a fan of Indy. Been to four Moto GPs there and had a better time each year I went back. I really hate that they didn't go back this year. Camping from Thursday to Sunday, campground parties and antics, and the racing was good too. I really think it is the only way to enjoy a race. You get to hang out with people who like motorcycles (and drinking) as much as you do. It's how they do it in Europe but few places in the States allow it. Some of the best times I've ever had and made great friends that I still stay in touch with.

Coopers in town was great. Get there early to avoid lines. Even brisket was tender and juicy. Congress between 2nd and 3rd. Way better than lamberts, didn't make it out to salt lick.

Having tried a few BBQ joints in Austin, they're all great... but my favorite is Brown's. Look it up!

Sweet !!

Second year at COTA...

Paid attendance was 55,600.

Got press passes and was able to meet a few riders, get Vale's signature and video with him...

Races were horrible because there was no real racing except for 3rd place in the Moto2 race.

Marquez is the man at COTA, everybody else just fights for second.

Dani Pedrosa is the man. Felt terrible for Dovi.

Sucked when Rossi crashed.

Parts Unlimited people suck. We had passes to their hospitality tent but the lady decides to kick everybody out right before the start of the MotoGP race (if you weren't an employee, passes be damned). Had to watch from turn 19 infield and the monitors were out.

Best part by far was meeting Keanu Reeves on the plane and have a 20 minute conversation with him in the Atlanta Airport about racing (true fan). He likes Lorenzo, I told him Lorenzo fan's are idiots, he gave me a bro hug.

Great track but not suited for motorcycles in my opinion. Second year in a row where even Moto3 was too spread out to battle.

Think I'll head to Assen next.

VERY nice breakdown right here Todd. Never liked those Parts Unlimted crew either to be honest. Just reinforces it hearing that from you man! .

What i really liked was that you were able to chat w Reeves that long without him walking away of anything. Weren't people trying to crowd him to get something signed or photos? I knew he liked racing but to see this on Marks thread is even cooler to hear!

Gotta say - with the exception of the very beginning (Long story but i can't stomach anything to do w animals being hurt or killed- its a PTSD thing to be open) But "John Wick" is an AWESOME flick with some of my favorite weapons too! (Microtech Auto Opener Knives) and more. Saw the live fire range video of him too which was great, but to hear you actually had a long talk w the guy sums it up! LOL. This is Marks MotoGP thread and Im talking about Keanu Reeves! SORRY BRO!! :D

And Mark was right. I never even got a response from the Graves / YES crew when trying to get him into the area which sucked. MotoAmerica is without a doubt a great great sport which I wish was followed more too!
Matter of fact, Im watching Road Atlanta right now as I type this on DVR!
