Any chance of a pic of your instrument surrounds and intakes? I already have the Ilmberger ignition surround.
Cheers,
Al.
Im normally NOT a fan of "stepping up" an item to look like something its not, (in this case a base to an R) However, with that said... I like the Rim Strpping and the Corse decals. But in person, do they look factory installed or can you clear see they are added? I do like the look of this bike, if anyone can provide a link or ebay seller name who sells these in QUALITY id like to take a look. Also how hard is it to stripe the wheels and keep them straight without looking like ..... From your low quality pictures, This all looks spot on and factory OEM. Does it look that good in person?
I can assure you that I am the last person to turn one of my vehicles into something they are not!
The DUCATI CORSE stickers have been out before the R was released, the rim tape was an obvious choice for me as I found the OEM Base model wheels too black and boring.
As for installation of the tape, I buy the tape from an Australian company "Motorcycle Rim Stickers | Bling on your Wheels" and I have probably done around 5 bikes now.
The tape is very strong (I have never needed to replace anything) and installation isn't difficult, but is a little time consuming. I haven't thrown away a section of tape during installation since the first time I installed tape but you will find the kits have heaps of spare tape (they come in approximately 1/4 diameter pieces).
The Ducati Superquaddro stickers came from eBay user rosko07.
They are proper double sided decals (like the Ducati Corse decal) which leave behind only the letters, no clear white surround...They are a million times better than the Marchesini Forged stickers my 1198S had, which came off after six months.
Hopefully the photos can show how the finished wheel looks.
HOLY ....!!! I have never seen a license plate bracket that large (1st photo) You could see that thing sitting all the way back in the police headquarters! A cop wouldn't even have to leave his office to get your license plate number if you were anywhere within 5 miles!!!
Haha, this is our silly Australian Design Rules which require a fender to be low enough to intersect a line at 45o or so from the rear axle...So we get enormous fenders on our models I have never had a bike with one this big though, it's ridiculous.
My guess: German. 911. Probably late 90's early 2000's??? LOL.
At any rate nice garage!!!
This would be the closest so far but the period is wrong and you need to be more specific than "911"
