Besides my legs, the bike cooks a part of my body that I can't show here.

I get the same thing! :(

will look into riding pants as apposed to just jeans now.or tape heat resistant pads to my legs:D

I get problem like these too.. its disturbing my fun on the bike =(
Having heat wrap on the bike this week though.. hopefully it works.

How tail are you and what do you wear? There must be a reason why some like me don't even notice the heat and others are branded. I think that part of my leg is up against the tank. I am 6'1 32inseam.
I've said it before, if not for these forums I would have never noticed heat anymore then on other Ducatis.

Its strange how it's affecting some people badly, for me it gets hot but it's bearable but then we are having cold & wet weather most of the time.

I had the same issue with my leg when I first rode my bike home. It resided a bit as I rode more. When I had my full system installed, it seemed to feel as hot as the first time I rode it. The outside air temp has also increased.

I always ride in jeans. One thing I recently did was to begin wearing a sleeve on my leg under my jeans as an extra layer of heat resistance. Due to knee surgery I have to wear a knee brace when doing anything that could damage my knee so I have several of the sleeves that going under the brace. It seemed to work pretty well.

Everyone has different sensitivity levels to heat/cold and while it is not unbearable, I did have to find a solution to the heat due to burns on my right leg. This is also my first Duc so I have nothing to compare it to other than my previous in-line 4's.

This bike is fantastic. I knew about the heat from this forum before I bought it and the info did not deter me from the purchase.

We all know the bike gets warm and heats up peoples legs. Not to start another "Heat" or "Anyone think of doing an exhaust wrap" thread , but I wrapped the pipe under the seat with Titanium wrap from DEI and put the heat shield on over it and it makes a HUGE difference. I just wrapped a buddies pipes last night too. It's a tedious job and takes a couple hours, but in the end you will love the difference and the look is nice too.

Looks like metal ties will also be needed. I'm just guessing 15' will be plenty.

I think this is a very good point - I am 5'11 with the race seat and I feel my legs are "high" enough against the tank to manage the heat. However when I stop and put my legs down the heat is very noticeable. I would imagine a shorter persons legs would be a bit staighter and more against the front head and feel the heat more.

I ride in kevlar jeans on the street and absolutely zero issues with heat. I will say that at the track day in leathers, with track temp at 130+ by the end of each 20 minute session I was ready to get away from the heat, but I think that's more component of the track temp than anything else.
