Hello fellow Ducatisti! I currently have my 2012 1199S rather dis-assembled in the garage, as I’ve been doing several modifications, including new lower radiator, new Termi slipons, Samco hoses/clamps, new brake pads, 520 chain/sprocket conversion, front fork height adjustment, flush and fill coolant, etc….

By the way— installing the Termignoni slip-on kit is some sort of fresh hell!! But I got it done. Upmap to follow.

So, I am hoping someone out there can provide a photo or two of the right side of the bike, sans fairings. (A 1299 is probably the same)

The main hoses I need to place back correctly are:
1) coolant overflow long tube
2) the two vent hoses coming from the gas tank. I know one is shorter and just sort of hangs down.

There are two attach points on the bottom black plastic flat panel between the exhaust cans- I know two of these lines must attach to them..

Any pics welcome!

Hey Greg,

I don’t have any of that stuff but from memory, the front tank hose is vented to the floor. The rear hose probably went to the charcoal canister. I currently have the front capped and the rear is vented to the floor.

Radiator, the coolant overflow long tube should go from the top of the plastic tank to the floor

Here are few pictures, C is fuel tank breather and other small hose to the left of it is coolant overflow tank hose. I don’t know do you have evap canister but I included hose routing picture as well.585A4700-E80B-4F1B-B3AF-0A07D0ED2467.jpeg1C22660B-FD61-4A13-A378-63895C1C356C.jpeg

Ed and Bo— THANK YOU! This is super helpful stuff. I normally take photos before I break a bike down but forgot to this time—
Greg.

PS- and no-my bike is missing the charcoal canister-

Revisiting this thread—seeking a bit more clarity—-

what I’m trying to establish is which lines connect to the two nipples on the lower panel. There’s a forward and rearward nipple, if memory serves, I think the longer tank vent hose attaches to the rear nipple, and the coolant overflow tube attaches to the front.

Any further info appreciated

Please pardon the use of the word “nipple” so many times in this post! :)

Tank breather hose goes onto holder spot on radiator shroud under the radiator, radiator overflow hose goes onto nipple on radiator fan shroud right under the exhaust bend (in the picture)

Bo, that’s what I thought, but my new Samco radiator overflow hose is not long enough to reach that rearward nipple. Even though I measured it against the stock hose- (it’s the exact same length), so I’ve got to figure out routing I suppose.

I currently have the radiator overflow hose tucked inside the tabs on the radiator shroud straight down to the bottom. Maybe it needs to be re-routed to a higher path.

Which hose normally comes down into those side tabs on the radiator shroud? Maybe the longer fuel tank vent hose. I’ll try all that tomorrow AM. I appreciate the help for something so trivial—

Greg
