Whats up guys, new Ducati owner/forum member here and figured i'd introduce myself. My name is Chris, I live in north Alabama in the Huntsville area which is just about an hour and a half south of Nashville. Been dreaming about owning a Ducati for several years now and finally took the plunge.

I picked up a 2014 1199 Panigale base which currently has a whopping 200 miles on it. I unfortunately travel a lot for work and am rarely home, which means its gonna take me forever (or so it seems) to get past the break in period. I am really looking forward to doing some spirited riding once I get past that point.

So far it seems like all I've done is order goodies for it non-stop. Again, I travel a lot, which means plenty of time to play around on the computer, which equals spending money, I was the same way with my 350Z and 370Z. Travel 5 days a week, order parts, parts arrive while i'm gone, get home and install parts, then rinse and repeat. I know, I have a problem. But at least its not hookers and blow...Yet! So far i've picked up a Termi slip-on, NRC fender kit, Lux mirror block off's (Thanks Stw), DUCAbike clear clutch cover.

Other than that, thats about it. I've come from a long line of Japanese bikes, mostly Yamaha's, but i've owned every liter bike except a 1000RR. I've been on the track a couple of times (Barber) but the last time ended in a pretty nasty high side on my R1. A guy tried passing me on the inside and he low sided and took me out with him. The wreck itself didn't scare me but watching my bike, new helmet and new Dainese suit get destroyed the first time I used it all was a bit heart breaking to say the least.

But that was then and here we are today, with a beautiful new Ducati sitting in the garage....wait, I mean sitting at the dealer waiting to be fixed so it come back to my garage lol. But I really am enjoying the site, lots of helpful information here and I can see you guys don't mind helping out the new guys. But don't worry, I may be new to the bike, but i'm not new to forums. I know how to "SEARCH" haha....So you can trust that if I ever post a question, i've searched my ... off.

Ok, I think thats about enough rambling....Good talk:D

Sounds like you have the same affliction most of us have with buying parts. It's a wallet busting condition and for the most part incurable....until you run out!

Thanks for the warm welcome, fellas. It's definitely a love/hate condition. Love it when the bank account is stacked, hate it when it's low.
