So to wrap this saga up 6 months later…

Ducati warrantied the forks and sorted that up rather rapidly once they were made aware. The dealer that I took it to did good work it seems. Checked all bolts and torqued to spec. The dealer service manager though was not forthcoming when it came to getting additional details to confirm the spec of the bike.

The DNA Customer Service reps that you speak with on the phone were unhelpful especially Matteo (sp?). I had to eventually internet stalk DNA Customer Service Manager and Technical Service Manager and found their emails and emailed them directly with my issue.

Once I found the right person to talk to things went very smoothly. I finally got the information that I was seeking and they confirmed through engineering that all other components installed are 2022 spec. They also paid for the the first service and offered Ever Red warranty extension for an additional 2 years after the standard warranty (allegedly a $1500 value). I’m ok with that as it seems that if these bikes have problems it’s within the first few yrs (mainly electrical gremlins).

I initially tried to sweet talke a DRE (not that kind of DRE!!!) from them in Mugello or San Marino but that didn’t pan out. I’m ok with the extended warranty. It’s less to worry about and everybody wins in the end.

Def good to question Ducati. Marketing and production….separate entities apparently.

I dropped my deposit on a ‘23 Bayliss V2. Kept going back in the configurator to add/change things and noticed that they put a 200 spec rear tire on for the photo. (It runs a 180 in production)D902921E-4B84-49DC-9CE6-5906EC6E93B2.png

I wouldn't put too much stock in what the render shows. There's renders showing the R having electronic forks.

Would you mind PM'ing me the emails for the DNA CSM and TSM. I am having some issues locally that haven't been resolved in almost 3 months.

I know it's over a year but am glad they sorted it out for you
