All the reviews have said the brakes have a "forgiving" initial bite. In basic terms, bad initial bite. Might just be the pads though.

lots of complaints about too much initial bite on the previous gen's.
nothing that can't be fixed with some pads.
i personally crashed in 2001 because of too much bite on the pads i ran.

i can imagine other street riders had the same problem. different on the track though. but how much % of riders end up on the track?
Nate said he'd probably install more aggressive pads, but that the brakes were great. A friend of a friend that does testing for BMW also had high praise for the brakes. I'll find out in 5-6 weeks.
I personally like the aggressive bite of the third generation S1000RR brakes. As mentioned in another thread, I think the solid front end and brakes of the BMW actually surpass my V4. Nothing wrong with the V4 brakes, but I'm not the only one that has expressed that opinion.

so how is the 2020 bmw s1000rr? aint all nate said it was lol. sad but true. hope your luck is better than most with that bike if you bought one.a new version of the 2020 is going to be announced soon, its gonna have alot of add ons

But I'll bite, what add-ons are you expecting to see besides the recall fixes? Whats your source. My interest level in that machine equals that of the Panigale, and this is the first I've heard of any changes.
