I actually didn't realize that when I first looked at the pics. I can see why they would do it though, eliminates that big bend, saves a bit of weight and the length difference would be minimal. I applaud them for some outside the box thinking on that one.

Have a piss then have a piss with your .... bent in half and see which works better . It is a better design yet weird looking .

they could have come up with this 2 years ago instead of the ...... full system they came up with. I guess it took being dumped by ducati for them to scratch their head

Interesting. It definitely looks to be an improved design all around. I'm glad to see Termi exhibiting a bit of resiliency here.

The sound will exit at the smaller part of the chamber forcing higher compression and most likely audible dB...

The design gets rid of some of the previous problems and should make more power. It is also the lightest system so I want one.

but the exhaust exit sits at the front of the bike now? I can't imagine that being sexy

What were some of the problems? Like burning the fairings? That front exit does look a little odd but if this revision is because of previous issues then I'm all for it.

i would say it is to help flow, rather than looping the airflow through the cans, now it will just go in a straight line.

be interested to see real world dyno results, as everything i have seen from the old term was there didn't really make much of a difference. But with the new outlet and what looks like a redesign of the loop section, be interested to see how it improve the mid range

Hopefully better quality welds and fitment. My Termis melted my belly pan and saw numerous threads that the Termis on the Panigale melts the fairings too.

Termi aren't stupid.
They've been doing this for a very long time.

Of course we don't know what limitations may have been placed upon them by DUCATI in the original design brief of the original 1199 exhausts.

If it's an actual improvement over all other designs, then it means that they're working hard at developing a superior solution to what's already out there in the market.
That includes the Akro offering.
We will see more about it in the fullness of time and I hope it's an easy upgrade for the 1199. If that proves to be the case, I may well change mine for the new design.
Going by the blurb it looks like they've pulled out all stops in terms of process and materials:)

I had a ..... fracture 7 years ago and now it is bent ( no joke)
So I think Wilkson's "bent ...." option is the best choice for me in terms of my "comfort level"

either i'm blind, or termi is really pissed about ducati...

i can't find them on the page:
