Hello all,
After A good six months of reading the posts on this forum I finally decided to create a profile and participate. I have an 1199r that I am preparing to turn into a dedicated track bike (not quite as dedicated as Kope :). Next step is to wrap her in some carbonvani race body work. Any advice or experience with this product would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on the R, welcome to forum, and perhaps check with member Cali Duc who owns a full set of Carbonvanni on one of his Ducati Superbikes. He can even key you in on where he got it and who helped him a bit too.
Best wishes Kris - where in NY are you residing as many here from that AO.

Gunny

Thanks Gunny. I'm from Utica, conveniently located about 1 1/2 hours from the awesome brand new New York Safety Track. Check it out if you get a chance. One of the best.

Congrats on the R. I spent two days at the New York Safety Track last Sep. The track is like a roller coaster and the pavement is pristine. Hope to get their again next year.

Welcome from Albany NY. I'm a coach for TPM and we also did the coaching and instruction for NYST last year. Did I ride with you? I'm on a stock 1199 Base and a flat black R6. The 1199 is being put together now to race ASRA Team Challenge and WERA Endurance races.

Come to think of it, I believe a flat black R6 may have shown me the race line. There was a 14 year old guy on a Gixxer with no fairings, spanking everybody!I was on a blue and white GSXR1000 #48. My wife had her red Monster - she didn't track it though. I think it was Sep 14 & 15. Even though it was cold and wet, the track was pretty dry for most of the weekend. Great track and a great group of guys and gals running it. It was a cool to watch the car sessions as well.

Brett I think I met you. Do you have some heavy duty crash protectors on your 1199?

I'm using the T-rex sliders and they do stick out alot on the left side. I may have been riding it or I may have loaned it to one of the other coaches. We would have been pitted right at the back of the hanger, at the garage door.BTW, that 14 yr old was Xavier Zagat,USGPRU champ, and was invited to the Red Bull Rookies Cup in Spain last year. He just got on a "Big Bike", basically stock gsxr750 and believe has the track record after 2 days there, and running on the trow away tires on the junk tire pile. Remember his name, you'll here more from him. X and his family are awesome people, and work with little money.
